In the electrolytic decompostition of water, what maximum volume of oxygen gas could be produced at 15 degrees celcius, and 100.5 kPa if 250 g of water are decomposed?

What would be the balanced equation?

2H2O -> 2H2 + O2

18 g of H2O has 16 g of O2

So, 250 g has 250*16/18 = 222.22 g

That is 6.944 mol of O2

Thus , V = nRT/P = 6.944*8.314*288/(100.5) = 165.442 l
