My 6yr old came home saying that one of her "white" friends says they can no longer play with her, because her mommy says if she plays with black people her skin will turn to mud...why would a parent tell a child that? I had to have a talk with my very upset (sad) 6yr old. How would you guys approach this? what would you tell your child if they had come across a racial remark at such a innocent (young) age?

How do you fix the pull cord on a push lawn mower? Actually, it needs replaced. Is this a task that you can do yourself or does it need taken into be serviced by a lawn mower technician? The pull cord frayed cause I think I must have put the top protector part on it crocked. (I KNOW, wasn't a brilliant move). It caused a shrearing type of effect. Now the cord won't retract. Thanks, Kimmie~

Six years ago when I was 18, I was arrested for soliciting a prostitute who turned out to be a cop. I was ordered to serve three days of community service but served only one. Now I need to bring documentation about the disposition of the case to INS to qualify for a green card. If I go to the police station (in the next state) , can I expect to be held in incarceration for failure to fully comply? What else can I do?

Do you believe that the tragedy at Virginia Tech could have been avoided if Cho's professors had done more than just refer him to on campus counseling? Based on two short plays he had written which the media has gotten a hold of, it seems obvious that he was seriously emotionally disturbed.
