As a American Born Chinese, I can vouch that Chinese is hard to learn. I was born speaking it but when i tried to teach my friends, the results were terrible. Try to learn a language with thesame characters like French, German, or French. Languages like Japanese, Russian, Hebrew and Chinese will be especially difficult because you are only accustomed to seeing and recognizing out alphabet. French, Spanish, and German will be eazier for you. German is also known so sound a little bit like english when spoken. If you want to use the language functionally, I recommend spanish. It will be very useful in the future. If you want more of a challenge but more use in the future, go with chinese. International business in the future will be with the booming economy of China. After the first language is learned, other languages will come easier. Trust me.
Best of Luck!

English and German are sister languages, while English, Urdu and French are cousins. French and German are beautiful convenient in phrases of vocabulary, however the grammar's one more tale. German grammar is a tad extra tricky than French grammar, and as a consequence could say French is less difficult. Chinese is a entirely exclusive sort of language than English, French, German or Urdu, however it's beautiful enormous global. You'll have probably the most hindrance finding out Chinese.

It depends on your experience. If you already speak english (and only english) try and go with something that has a similar character set.

Hebrew has a failry basic grammatical structure, and isn't too bad. Russian and chinese are notoriously hard to learn. Hope this helps!

Since you are an English speaker, I would guess that Norwegian would be the easiest on that list to learn.
