I have known a number of people that are so against the idea of having to register/license their guns. They say it's against their rights, etc.. That the gov't shouldn't know every little thing about them, etc.

At the same time, people have to get a dog license, register their car, etc etc. WHY on earth should people not have to register their Deadly Weapon!?!?

I have known people that go against the law of registering firearms, etc.. Now, shouldn't those same people be against registering their car, etc?

As for the whole idea of why people need to own certain types of guns anyway.. That's a whole other question.. :)

In this nation we have Republicans fighting for Republican, Democrats fighting for Democrats, Blacks fighting for Blacks, Whites fighting for Whites, Latino fighting for Latino, Asian fighting for Asian, and all the private industries fighting for themselves.

Who’s fighting for the US Constitution and Bill of Rights?
Who’s fighting for old glory?

never - ever further explain that God also said that He would keep His promise, but
"ONLY if they avoided "WAR AND STRIFE"?..
..A UN resolution
'gave' them a parcel of land, not GOD. The UN was not a 'vehicle' ---
Surely God did not mean for them to fight to the end until they obtained this land. In fact, if God wants all of to get along with each other--if He wants us all to love each other, and if the Jews are his "chosen' (which they are not) then why would HE want people to fight each other, over land and riches, etc.? He is the Almighty. He knows all.
One must wonder why there are so many different interpretations of the Bible....one must also wonder why the Bible glorifies death and destruction. One must wonder if the Bible was truly written by men of God,
or if God's words were profoundly misunderstood.
One is also caused to wonder if, the "Promised Land" was indeed a pregnant promise, born prematurely.

I asked a question that was kind of unorganized and it has many great responses but not in the way I wanted it; my bad.

I am curious what the public thinks:

1. How would you treat the killers parents if you met them?
2. On what aspects can you blame them, if at all?
3. How will this affect the parents' future?
4. Would you agree that the parents of the killer need as much support (or even MORE support) in the aftermath?

I am very curious what the public response would be to these very important questions. I really feel for his parents.

PS... remember, this question is regarding ONLY the killers parents. I am not interested in anything else at this time. Thank you!

VA TECH CAMPUS MASSACRE "Pure souls always be home early"

"In this time of anguish, I hope you know that people all over this country are thinking about you and asking God to provide comfort for all who have been affected."

Let's ignore the context of that quote from our pal George W Bush (the recent Virginia shootings) and ask ourselves this question:

* Should religion be allowed to influence the governing of a country? *

Before anyone goes off on a rant- read this: I'm NOT saying that politcal leaders should not be allowed to have personal religious beliefs. I'm sure that such beliefs would affect a person's thinking on some level, but should a leader be allowed to act as the voice of a country and make major decisions affecting that country based on those beliefs? Surely a good leader should be as unbiased as possible? By all means, they should tell us if they have beliefs when they run for election, but surely they shouldn't run the country, everyone's country, to suit their PERSONAL beliefs?

I am due to have my baby in 2 weeks. I am very excited and extremely happy, but a little depressed at the same time?!? I have a 2 1/2 year old that I stay home with and plan on doing the same with my daughter. I love my job of being a stay at home mommy and wife, but it seems that it is getting harder and harder to manage things that I should normally be able to do. I can't maintain a schedule and I have an excuse for everything. I have a hard time even facing the upcoming day of the same old routine. It is affecting everything from my parenting to my marriage. The days have been so pretty, but I don't even take my son out to play. He is cooped up in the house all day with cartoons, and I'm not very interactive with him anymore. My husband notices, and tries to help me, but I am very unappreciative towards him, even down to sex (non-existant on my part), and I just dont pretty up like I used to. I just don't have that "want to" ,which I want to have so bad! Any one else been there?

I found a search warrant in a bag of donated clothes. Could I be in trouble for having it? Or if I showed it to other people? It was issued about a year ago for a currently unsolved murder case.
