In this nation we have Republicans fighting for Republican, Democrats fighting for Democrats, Blacks fighting for Blacks, Whites fighting for Whites, Latino fighting for Latino, Asian fighting for Asian, and all the private industries fighting for themselves.

Who’s fighting for the US Constitution and Bill of Rights?

It is an extension by people who are defining the "promote the general welfare" statement into an entitlement and right just like those rights delineated. The government is to provide for the common defense and promote the other so it would appear through common sense that providing and promoting are two different things or was in the minds of the people who wrote it. Promote means to make it available for people and not necessarily to make it free and/or easy for them; building a college and making the cost is reasonable, people are not discriminated based on race and so on (ability should be discriminated against) would be promoting it and not having it free which is providing it. Nothing wrong with some people going to college and some not, some kids having to work and pay their way through and others not. Honestly this "free college" is sort of puzzling to me; there are many jobs that pay well and are short handed that do not require a college education. So many kids want a degree in this or a degree in that so they can have white collar or management positions but if everyone has a college degree then it becomes worthless in the job market and if everyone is "white collar" then who does the actual work and gets their hands dirty-illegal aliens? No I do not have a college education and never really cared about that but at the same time it is strange how it has come to mean something; the plant I worked at had a policy of no degree you could not become a manger which sounds good but in practice we have a manger over production with a degree in English literature and a minor id history so the education was meaningless to the position. One manager trainee (more of a probation thing) talks to me one day of the pressure of having ten people work for him-the old maintenance manager (no degree was in position when the college thing was brought in to effect) about laughed at him and said He was a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marines and had many more people working for him and depending on him more then you ever will here. The trainee asks me why I wasn't a manger and I said no college and he stated that lack of a degree indicated a lack of commitment; yes I just smiled though did want to choke him. A year later he left the company for a better position and I stayed and retired though did have better offers from another company. The class of privilege and entitlements which is growing daily in this country will ruin it because they have a right to what they want and do not need to work to get it because they are entitled to it.

"I'm a uniter not a divider", G.W. Bush.

Somebody must have united somebody somewhere. Maybe it is that Bush united the world against him and the US.

We should all be conserned about fighting for the Constitution which includes the Bill of Rights. That includes Old Glory. Look at some of the executive orders Bush has made and the Patriot Act and you'll understand that that great document is being eaten away while certain leaders wrap themselves in Old Glory. Bush has referred to the Constitution as a goddamn piece of paper and his current (not for long) Attorney General referred to the Constitution as obsolete. This shows absolute contempt for the Constitution.

We need to be very much alert and not allow him to get away with more.

Count me in. That is what this nation should care about. Who cares about "international law" in deciding judicial cases. Let's get back to the basics that this country was founded on.

Patriots, and TRUE Republicans. Anyone who loves this country and anyone who looks beyond themselves and their race to adress the needs of others.
