I have a picture of me as a baby wearing, I have always been told, a christening gown; problem is I was never christened.

My mother used to sew up the flaps on my brother's underpants and give them to me as hand-me-downs. But my shrink said it hadn't done any lasting damage...so I butted him in the face...

When I was in grade school my mother made me wear a hideous pink dress with a large floppy collar like a clown suit. I had several like it, as it was the fashion, I guess, but the pink one had a collar so large that it reached all the way past my shoulders! I HATED IT! And I still do. For the most part, I now wear clothing without any kind of collar, or the smaller the better. I'm a Tee-shirt and Jeans kind a gal...

It was mid eighties and my mom bought me a poodle skirt, and saddle shoes.....I was mmmm, 13 or 14...I had to get real creative to wear that to school. She didn't know any better though... she saw movies that were big at the time like footloose and molly ringwald movies.. in those movies, funky clothes is how kids made statements.. like dressing up like the fifties but wearing a green mohawk for guys or girls wearing a really fluffy pink doo.

im 45 and this only happened 4 years ago mum flew over for a visit said she was worried about me going out in the cold weather now im in a chair sooooo she bought me a multi coloured(dollymixture colours)balaclava with lil eye n mouth holes and a pompom that dangled half way down my back lol i didnt even try it on to the charity shop it went sharpish jeeez where did i go wrong i thought she loved me lol

I asked for seconds at dinner and my mother forced me to wear a bib for an entire day. She had some problems with her weight and took them out on the kids, even though we were all very thin.

i was rushed into hospital so mum (who i didn't live with i was 38)went out and bought me a couple of nighties both were floor length one had long sleeves that tied at wrists with yellow ribbon and had BIG yellow flowers all over it and other was bright pink with butterflies on and both were about 3 sizes too big horrendous even the hospital gowns were better. bless her

I have a picture of me as a child in a white, hooded, fake fur coat. I looked like a polar bear in it.

Ohh, defo a liberty bodice... had rubber buttons up
the front, had to wear it under me vest !!!
also, me knickers (navy blue , had a pocket
in the right hand side for me hankie !)

I was about 9 years old, and my mum bought me a pair of yellow moon boots and a clear see through rain coat with black arrows on it... and worse of all, its in a frame on her unit..........
I am 38 now.... and still traumatized.
