first of all, i am neither. i am pagan.
i hear a lot of christians claiming that atheists are not moral people since they are not god fearing people, so they don't need to have morals since they're not trying to get into heaven. that's a fair enough assumption, but does not make it true.

i also hear atheists saying that christians are hypocrites and claim to have good morals but it's mostly just talk.

is the problem that christianity is held to a higher standard of moral code based on what they believe and preach to atheists, so much so that they have a hard time living up to their own expectations? or is it just that atheists have lower moral codes and comfortable with the fact that they are able to live up to them?

maybe atheists are just realistic about humanity and try to live life as a good person without being holier than thou? or maybe christians are setting an example that the rest of us should look up to?

Just wondering. I have it and my husband and I (like a lot of other couples this as our only method of birth control.) Its said to be more effective than a tubal. but what would happen? Would you miscarry?
I've had it for over a year now and never had a period but all of a sudden i am having a pretty heavy period (for me anyways) and just though it was odd.

I'm doing a report on ancient Egypt. I need to tie in the culture of the egyptians to the pyramid.

What would be a good way to do that?

Also, I know there's a lot of other civilizations that include the pyramids in their lives. How well did Egypt get along with those nations? Maybe Egypt made the pyramids to show their friendships.

Any help would be appreciated.

ok ok, so I worded my last question wrong; sorry. What I mean is, I KNOW the bible was written and published long after Greek mythology was created.... BUT! I do know that on this Earth many many years ago, there were super-human beings that were half human and half angelical (or God) (whatever).... My point is it is interesting that Zeus had a son named Hercules, I think.. Zeus lived on high, yet he sent his son into the world to defeat evil.. (or something like that..) He also descended into Hell to defeat evil. (or Pluto, whatever).. THAT IS ONE EXAMPLE THAT IS RESEMBLANCE ON BIBLIBAL FIGURES!!! Hey all you people who called me an idiot are the true idiots ok!!? the subject are the gods; not the manuscript which the gods are written about, you soddish jerks!! NOW LET ME GET SOME EDUCATED REFERENCES SO I CAN STUDY THIS 4 REAL! I am not here to play games.....

I like my job but I really enjoy cooking BBQ and have always thought about owning my own restaurant. They say restaurants are the hardest market to break into but I think in the south BBQ is the exception. If you have a tasty product (which I think I do) you'll get your share of the business.

OK, someone please try to explain this to me.

OK, Don Imus made a stupid comment, and some people (many of whom did not even hear the comment) found it offensive. So Al Sharpton throws his weight around, threatens a few boycotts, and next thing you know Don Imus is fired.

Yet, whenever I say that I am offended by a certain group, say NAMBLA (a group promoting homosexual pedophilia) , and I wish for them to be shut down, I get attacked for violating free speech. Even though many NAMBLA members have been arrested for sex crimes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nambla#Related_legal_proceedings

It is still “violating their free speech” to try and shut them down. Yet, Don Imus committed NO crime, and was fired.

Is racism a worse crime in our society than child molestation?

I've been running at least a mile on a treadmill for a little over a month and I've got pain in my shins. I'm thinking they're shin splits but there's no swelling or anything (for the record, I'm not exactly sure what shin splints are; I've heard so many things from so many people I'm not sure what to believe). Anyway, I rested them over the weekend (helped someone move) and the pain subsided. But now it's Thursday and the pain is back.

What are the best shoes or insoles to buy to help reduce the pain? Any type of pain killer of anything I can do to help this?

P.S. I'm NOT going to stop running. I rest on weekends and that seems to be enough for now,but it's a MUST that I do this so not running, unfortunately, is out of the question.

I rarely if ever use any of the keys on the right side of my keyboard, except the Del. button. Does someone make a shorter keyboard, that will take up less space on my desk, without those extra keys I dont seem to use anyhow?
Thanks, Wayne

I have a lot going on right now (just bought a house, gas tank leaking on vehicle, problems with dad, stress at work, stress at hubby's work, etc....), and I've been finding myself going over my problems as soon as I wake up in the morning and getting angry over them. I am usually a very rational person who doesn't anger easily, but with the heap of problems I am dealing with currently my temper has gotten short. I yell at my husband for stupid arguments and constantly find myself becoming angry about my situations (just especially 1st thing in the AM, which is not good). I would love to go to an anger management class but have neither the time nor the $$$. Any relaxation tips? Or books or websites I can check out? I'm pretty sure I don't need meds or anything like that, just better ways to deal with all this stress. Thanks much for reading and for your input.
