Tropical rain forests are very important to the life on Earth. The trees breathe in carbon dioxide and emit oxygen into the atmosphere. Because of the climate, rain is abundant on these forests to keep the trees healthy and help in germinating new trees when seedlings drop from other trees.
It is important to have trees and other greenery in as many places as possible. Without trees life would not exist as we know it today. The atmosphere would become polluted and only dangerous micro organisms would survive.
Earth Day is coming on April 20th I believe. This day many communities will be participating in planting trees. There is a program going on in Africa where an American Health company is sponsoring a program in planting a large amount of trees.

I lined in the jungle in Ecuador for 12 years . The rain forest is not having problems. A farmer works very hare to clear 100 acres. and plant where crops and this does good for 4 years and in that time the top soil is washed away ,so if they want to they can clear another piece of land. Very hard work and it doesn't last very long. The jungle is winning we got 100 in. rain per year and everything grows like it is wild. I have Sean fence post sprout and start to grow. The trees are winning . The plants are important to remove the CO2 from it and give us back the oxygen. The plants don't care is the CO2 comes from u or an engine it is all CO2. The plants need CO2 as much as u need oxygen.

I know one reason, and that reason is that trees take carbon dioxide out of the air, and turns it into oxygen.
