Tell them to cheek it, bring it to reputable repair shop. The line can be made and installed for under $300.

They probably can't do a second best repair because of liability concerns.I'm sure they want it gone as much as you do.Can you suggest signing off on future liability if they do what they can to make it run again?If you are totally stonewalled,have a wrecker pull it out and take it to a small shop where they have some common sense.It's your car,they can't hold it hostage.

Take it to another shop. Fuel line is something you can buy at any auto parts store.

Go to the wrecker & buy a used one 'til the new on arrives. Keep the new one until the used one fails.

you should have taken it to a backyard mechanic where he would have gone to the parts store and bought fuel line and bent it himself.
