A violin plays a melody line and is then joined by nine other violins, all playing at the same intensity as the first violin, in a repeat of the same melody.
(a) When all of the violins are playing together, by how many decibels does the sound level increase?
Answer: 10 dB.

Sooo....my question is...

(b) If ten more violins join in, by how many decibels does the sound increase over that for the single violin?

Not sure if this is why my tub is leaking but water is coming over my tub and when this happens it leaks under the tile and onto my basement floor. Shouldn't the floor be sealed well enough to keep this from leaking under the sub floor and onto the basement floor. I noticed that the tub is not sealed well adjoining the wall near the floor and tile but I still can't see how enough water could get under the floor to cause that much of a leak.

Six months ago I had a great life. I was in love with my boyfriend of two years, Logan. Six months ago he was in a car accident involving a drunk driver. I was devastated when I heard he was barely alive. I stayed with him night and day. Lost my job and many friends. A month after the accident he woke from a coma. He didnt recognize me or know my name. My heart broke because I knew he wasnt my Logan. Two weeks later he developed swelling in his brain and died. My heart broke into a million pieces. Let say that one day, I found this illogical thing that shouldn't exist, like....a cold fire. It's fire, and yet it's cold. Through normal studies, it couldn't be explained why the fire is cold, why is it still burning, or why it was there in the first place.

Of course if you said it was divine intervention, it might make sense a bit.

But before that ever happening, surely there'll be tons of theories on how the fire existed and why it was there before coming to a conclusion that it was divine intervention.


Let's look at another scenario. Let say one day Atheists came up with an undeniable proof that God doesn't exist, but would people really believe it? I mean look at evolution, you know what I mean.



In the end, it's all about faith, isn't it?

This week, I have slacked off on taking my daily multivitamin and I have been running out of energy very early in the evening. Early as in a 22 year old being ready for bed at 8:00 p.m. who is usually up to 12 or 1 most nights. I also haven't been sleeping well at night. My work load has been a little heavier during the day, but nothing outside of my physical ability. Is this a possible result from the multivitamin, or what?

I saw the movie about Luther , and there is a scene there that was not clear for me. Before the Luther´s big trial with the prince, he was prayig in his room as his spiritual father was watching him. So someone suggested to me that escapism is a mental illness. That made me LAUGH! Escapism seems to be a good thing! I don't read fiction. If I have a problem brewing in my life, rather than talking to someone, I just go online and look up scientific articles or things I'm curious about for extended periods of time (5+ hours)...but I'm learning. I daydream and I can be detached, but while I am doing this...I'm generally thinking of practical things. When I feel anxious, I use NyQuil so I fall asleep and in the morning, I don't care about the problem anymore. It is so ridiculous. If anything, escapism is a healthier way to cope than exposing your feelings to people who don't really care. So enlighten me, how can this possibly be bad?

Why do Christians hate the Catholic religion? My friend is Christian and she tells me that the Catholic religion is wrong, and I honestly don't understand why. I don't think any religion is wrong, even if they do believe different things.
