Not sure if this is why my tub is leaking but water is coming over my tub and when this happens it leaks under the tile and onto my basement floor. Shouldn't the floor be sealed well enough to keep this from leaking under the sub floor and onto the basement floor. I noticed that the tub is not sealed well adjoining the wall near the floor and tile but I still can't see how enough water could get under the floor to cause that much of a leak.

In the first place, your tub shouldn't be that full, to flow over. If your saying that with a normal filling and it's leaking somewhere, then you have a problem.
I had pin hole leaks in mine. I couldn't believe it but, after years the fiberglass degenerated and created pinholes that leaked into the basement. Had they not been over the washer I would have missed them. The beams started to soak up the water, then what?

It will go under the tile, if the water sits on the tile it will eventually go under it.
The other problem is it may be going in through the back of the tub, through the caulk. Or, the ring around the drain is loose and it's leaking through there. Your going to have to check everything out.

If your tub is full enough to run over then yes it is normal to leak in the basement.Maybe i am not understanding your question. Are you saying your bathtub is full and running out over the sides? If this is happening then yes your tile will come loose and water will find its way out somehow somewhere.Im still not convinced i understand the question

I'm wondering if your water isn't coming from behind the wall.
