Let say that one day, I found this illogical thing that shouldn't exist, like....a cold fire. It's fire, and yet it's cold. Through normal studies, it couldn't be explained why the fire is cold, why is it still burning, or why it was there in the first place.
Of course if you said it was divine intervention, it might make sense a bit.
But before that ever happening, surely there'll be tons of theories on how the fire existed and why it was there before coming to a conclusion that it was divine intervention.
Let's look at another scenario. Let say one day Atheists came up with an undeniable proof that God doesn't exist, but would people really believe it? I mean look at evolution, you know what I mean.
In the end, it's all about faith, isn't it?

Actually...it's about grace. Without it, faith means very little.

you do bring up a good idea with your cold fire example...
I know some people who rely 100% on evolution, science, and all that jazz. They deny God's very existence. That, in itself, is faith. Its faith in a non-God, if that makes any sense...
I can even think of a better example than just simply cold fire. The lottery. MILLIONS of people play the lottery. MILLIONS. How many win? How many HOPE to win? :-p
Exactly that. There have been times where I have questioned if my religion is the 'right' one. But, you're right. Its all about faith. We hope that our ticket is the winning one and we've won that big jackpot. But if a group of scientists had completely disproved God, I know I would believe. And not just me. But millions of devout religionists, if thats even a word. Faith is what drives us. It steers our lives on many occasions. Mathematicians have proven that if you buy 20 tickets a week, you would win the jackpot once in 40,000 years (to quote Numbers). But people still buy them, hoping to win. We still 'buy' into our religions. We believe in them. We have faith in them. We have faith God exists.
Are we right? Are those scientists right? I don't know. My philosophy is just sit tight, enjoy the ride of life, and once you've lived, look back and answer these kind of questions.
PS. On that ride of life, don't forget that lottery ticket -- you may just win. ;)

No all these shoulda woulda coulda type questions are are waste of time. Not believing requires no faith, just a thinking mind.
Atheists are logical thinkers if proof existed by the very nature of their logical thinking, they would have no other conclusion but to believe.

If you want to believe something that is contrary to what science can support, then by all means go ahead.
But then don't be surprised when people start realizing that your kind of religious faith is little more than Voluntary Schizophrenia.

Heh hee. Evolution theory is a theory, not a fact.
Good luck trying to find a proof that God does not exist. We probably would not believe we die if there was not 100% mortality rate. God can take your denial of Him. But can you take it when He denies you. The Bible is God's life manual for us,believe it or not. : )

It is about faith, but there is no way that I could deny God. If he isn't the one answering my prayers then who is? I find it so difficult to beleive that people don't beleive in God. How do they make it through life?

Actually, it's exactly what I've always known . . and Jesus preached when He was here. Some will understand, some won't.
Bottom line is, I know what's real by the spirit in my heart, and the events in my life.

A newspaper.
And there's not proof for any religion. So it is all about faith.
