When I was religious, I used to think that not only did God exist everywhere at once, but also at every point in time. So when I prayed, say, to do well in an exam, I would pray to do well in my exam on the 30th March 2007. I thought that if I didn't specify a time, God might help me with an exam that I did ten years ago, or next week.

Anyone else ever do anything like this?

i went on a website that let you get back in touch with old school friends, well this guy had a crush on me from 5th grade till 10th grade, i didnt know until 20years later, like 2 months ago, for two months we were talking future, then out of the blue his 17 yr daughter found him, now he has a chance to meet his daughter, the girl he had the fling with is a old co llege pal, one thing lead to another, her parents moved away because they didnt want those to togeather, his 17 year old looked him up, i love the ideal that he finally can know his daughter, but he said he dont want to be friends with me because his daughter is his univers and that he will hurt anyone just to make her happy, we are talking 15 years, i ask why didnt the mom or him try to make things work after they grew up he said the mom never let him know were they were,first, before all this ,we were talking ( us) now he dump me like old gum wow, tell me is there room for me,a friend,he said he love me to much...

I just recently became 20% vested in my company, and they opened up a profit sharing account for me with a 401(k) option. I will be leaving in the summer of 2008 because I will be going to Graduate school, but by then I will be 40% vested. I am wondering how much I should contribute, if any, to this plan even though I am leaving. I am also wondering if I should invest aggressively, moderately, or conservatively. I know that the yonger you are the more aggressive you should invest, but I am unsure now since I am leaving in a year.

My step-grandfather died in december.The will was never read.My step-father recieved some money that had drawen interest and was in his name only.There are four kids and one lived in the house, one in a trailer on the land, one in Illinois, and us (we moved three times).My dad would go and work and wouldn't be feed or offered a drink and when it was lunch time they would eat in front of him.We have been very very poor since like forever.No car or anything.With the money we bought two cars and my dad got some new clothes.Simple stuff that we needed.The family is threatening us to get the money back anyway possible.Supposebly the money was to pay for the son who lived at home.If it was for him then wouldn't it be in his name?The family is cheating him out of what is rightfully his.He is the underdog who is treated like crap and never gets credit for the work he done for them.I'm 16 and this is ruining my parents marriage.Who deserves the money?Why should they get the right to hurt my dad

My friend and her family got a eviction notice from their apartment manager and it does not say what they are being evicted for. They just got it a week ago, and they have been trying to get in contact with the manager, but no luck. So they have 60 days to leave the apartment. They just want to know what rights they have as a renter. What could they do to stop being evicted because they know they are being evicted for nothing.

Would you get upset, or feel bad if everytime your husband gets into an argument with one of his sisters either he takes it out on you or blames you even if you had nothing to do with it?
