On the highway, when there is one truck in the right lane travelling at 60mph, why does another pass on the left at 61mph and block traffick for miles? Just wondering

My partner and i are looking at buying our first property. We both have exisiting student debts which we are paying off. Somebody recently told us you can take out a mortgage with an option to use some of the money to pay off existing debts. Does anyone know if this is true and if this is a good option. We are both paying high interest rates on the debts and it will take us years to clear them at this point. Any advice??

MY boyfriend and I broke up like a month ago we're still really close friends the only reason we broke up was because of my mom. He started dating someone else last week and I am ok with it for the most part the reason I say that is because we talk on the phone every night and he tells me he feels wierd if he doesn't talk to me before he goes to sleep and he still tells me he loves me and I say it back to him what do I do? I love him and I want to be with him but right now we can't be. I don't mind that he has a girlfriend I just don't like hearing about her. I am not jelous because all I want is to see him happy but all I can see right now is him being confused about me and him. Well anyway what would you do? Heres what I know:**I have a very hard time letting people get close to me. I tend to put up a wall once people get to a certain "closeness" and start to push them away.***I love my exboyfriend but every time we get to a certain point, I shut down and push him away. (He and may other people have told me I do this)*** When Im not with him, I miss him so much and want him back in my life. We are happy together until I get nervous and shut down***I just need some advice from people who have had this fear and how to deal with it.

I recently (about a month ago) got a new cat. I've had cats my whole life, but this is my first since I've been living on my own. I adopted her from a foster mother, where she lived with a single person and other animals (before that she was a stray). She's about a year old by best guess, and had a litter of kittens when they found her. She is spayed, has all her shots, and tested negative for everything. She is a very sweet kitty, and I love her to bits... but recently, I got a new roommate (the cat had been alone with me up till that point), and her behavior has changed. She is almost constantly hyperactive and jumpy (it's not that she didn't play before, but now she's wired 24/7), and she has taken to bouts of suddenly trying to destroy my feet (not like playing, hardcore grabbing/kicking/chewing. It's painful). None of this behavior started until the roommate moved in. Is this a coincidence, or could it have something to do with that? Suggestions?

My husband and I are planning a family vacation. We got our plane tickets yesterday and our plane departs at 6:00 a.m. on the day we leave. The airport we will be leaving from is a couple hours away. We are taking 2 small children with us.

There is a hotel close by the airport and for 130 bucks we can rent a room there the night before our plane leaves and leave our car parked there for up to 14 days. We'll only be gone a week.

To leave your car parked at the airport for a week is 50 bucks.

I think it would make more sense to drive down the night before, spend the night with the kids, and not have to wake up at 2 or 3 and drag kids out that early to get to the airport in time the day our flight leaves.

My husband seems to disagree...
