i read the book and i was hooked by the 15th page, i finished it in 3 months, what did all you readers out there think, i thought it was very awesome, graphic scenes that drills into your head like a nightmare trying to bore it's way in

It was an okay book. I got pretty bored with the whole made-up language thing. I read it in a week. It took my ten year old brother 3 months to read it! lol! Anyway, the movie was pretty disastrous. They didn't even have the twins and Saphira for some reason had feathered wings as her older self. I thought they were supposed to be sort of like batwings, like skin or scales or something. Either way, Eragon was worth reading. Not my favorite, but still entertaining.

I have read Eragon and loved ti. The second book Eldest is also phenomenal. the movie did not do the justice that could have been done. The movie was awful.

I hated it... I tried to re-read the first one to psych myself up for the second, but just couldn't get through it...
Why does he lose every single battle? He does not win once without almost dying as a result... And he is always either sore or wounded or bleeding... What, is Paolino like an abused child or something?
I'm sorry to rant but what is the appeal???

I personally think Eragon just ripped off Anne McCaffrey's dragonriders of Pern series.

I loved the book (and the sequel, Eldest), the movie was very disappointing though.
