I left on bad terms with previous employer and she refuses to give a reference for me. I understand she can legally do this but can she tell the other staff not to fill one in on my behalf. I know for a fact if we had left on better terms and I asked for a reference she would not do it herself and she would pass it on anyway - she is just doing this out of spite.

I use the example of Microsoft - I would not ask Bill Gates to fill in my CV anway would I, I would ask someone I worked under ie. Office Manager not the MD.

I mean the outrageousness of it all. Family values: adultery a problem with the major candidates. Smaller government: what a joke, no legislation passed in the six years of TOTAL republican control of Congress and the Presidency to reduce the size of the government. Defense: the american people see Iraq as a quigmire with questionable justifications to invade. Fiscal prudence: out of control spending after 6 years of TOTAL republican control. Republicans you'll need more than pro-life to win, and, that is All you have!

I cannot tolerate meds very well so I am wondering, does anyone have any home remedies I can try? I tried the warm milk and "sleep time tea" but to no avail! PLEASE! I can't stand feeling so so so LOW....

I love antiques,and yesterday I think I found my best buy yet.I found a vintage pole ashtray for 1 dollar.Now out of all the ones I have seen before Ive never seen one like this.I would like to have an appraisal on it,or even just find out what time period it is from.If you would like to see it yourself I will be more than happy to post a link to a picture of it.If you have an idea where I can send a pic please let me know.THANKS!

And that we live in different countries and states. Have you ever received an answer to your question and you didnt understand some of the things theyd said? I mean if I said vegemite?? Some would know that I was talking about something we spread on toast. But others would say, "what the hell is vegemite" So my question is just that. Do you forget.

love is a strong feeling that you feel for someone as we all know! ..but in my opinion i think that love is wanting someone to be happy even if it causes you deep pain! even though love is selfish and most of us love someone who doesnt love us and the person who loves us we dont love its all a circle of pain haha sorry but it is like that! although some to find someone we love to love us

Let me make this comparison. Your wife/husband has cancer. You want the doctors to stop treatment...the cancer isn't in YOUR body so why bother, right? Tell me HOW our country isn't like your wife/husband in this scenario? Tell me HOW the cancerous terrorism isn't going to spread if we don't fight it?

I have my 10 year old daughter poorly at home at the moment
and they were talking about sex education and should be follow Hollands lead. The film quickly came on showing young
girls being shown how to put a condom onto a model penis
(I hate that word!) I had to quickly change channels. I did not
like my daughter being exposed to something that was so lifelike. It made me jump I can tell you. Any moms out there
felt like I do?Or am I being a prude? Tried to e-mail them - but

I am now 31 weeks pregnant & in the UK, at how many weeks do the doctors/midwifes examine you internally to find out how dilated/effaced etc that you are? Also when will the start telling me how engaged I am etc? Thank you.
