I am now 31 weeks pregnant & in the UK, at how many weeks do the doctors/midwifes examine you internally to find out how dilated/effaced etc that you are? Also when will the start telling me how engaged I am etc? Thank you.

i think they usually start checking that around 36 weeks, obviously if you start having problems before that they will, but i believe 36 weeks is the norm.
good luck

I wasn't examined internally until I had gone into labour and was at the hospital for a few hours. As for the head being engaged it could be a couple weeks yet, the midwife will tell you when you go for your checkups.

Good Luck.
