We've found bacteria that don't require water to live. And water being the necessity for "all" life is only true on our planet, just like it's only true on our planet that gravity is 9.8 m/s^2. It's perfectly plausible that life could evolve on another planet without water. Sentient life, even. Why do I never hear scientists discuss this?

Do you know of any good career guide books for students in college?
I'm looking for books that sort of assess your strengths and weaknesses and match you to your perfect job(s), as well as give comprehensive information about the job(s).

Hoping to give this to my sister who is undecided on her major in college and doesn't really know what she wants to be after she finishes her university education.

You know there are some with avatars with a scowl, frowned eyebrows or the weirdest looking facial expression! My husband is paying his ex alot of maney for child support, and the ex is very demanding on this sshe treats with talking to her lawyer if the check is 2 days late (we live on Germany and se on the states so it takes a while somethimes) anyways we think is too much money, enough to pay the rent of a house and besides she is got a bf, and is none of my bussines but what kind of guy he is, she got to keep everything when my hubby divorced her and this guy is living on the house using all this stuff, anyways thats not part of the cuestion, what i want to know is there any way that he can pey less child support ? we have 1 child together and 2 of my previous relaton, and we dont even spend the same amount of money he sends her in all 3 kids, i just think is unfair because he doesn't even get to see the kid, and to her daddy is another guy and not my hubby, someone that is probably living of the child dupport my husband pays

Have anyone heard about this Act?
I just got this information from food bank.

Basically, it said:
(1) This enhanced tax deduction is equal to the FMV or twice the taxpayer's cost or basis (whichever is lower) of the food dudection.
(2) The valuation for the deduction is either the basis of the item plus 1/2 the FMV or two times the basis, whichever is lower.
I've check IRS Code Sec. 170(e)(3). It doesn't help me.
I've read IRS Bulletin:2005-48 but it doesn't have example.

Can someone tell me the source document of this "The Federal Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act".
Also, where can I find the IRS code with example.

Please help me Me and my wife just started a new business. handyman/painting. we did a quote for a job but the lady says we are too low.
Can somebody please tell me what would be the going rate in Los Angele's ca. to Paint a 1,700 sq ft home and put in a kitchen sink as well as a ganent counter top. we told her we would do it for $1,700 and she said it was too low please help us what would be a good price.
We are new to this and we are not into cut throating. people that do this type of work. but we also want to get some customers. thanks
