When I lived with my parents, they were always telling me that I'm not good enough to go to college, or I'm not good enough for this or that, or pretty enough or smart enough.
For reasons beyond our control, I was taken from their home and put somewhere where I could learn to grow and accept myself, and even begin to believe myself.
Now, a few years later, I've learned to only surround myself with people who believe in me and not waste time with those other bastards.

My dreams are to graduate from University and find a job being a Biologist or a chemist. I also have a dream of getting married to my current boyfriend and having two kids and live someplace decent.
About the graduating dream people encourage me. About the marrying dream, some people smile and encourage, others frown and say "forget that for now, it comes later. Concentrate on your studies. You're still too young". I'm 18, but I don't plan to marry until I've been working for at least a couple of years. That's normal, right? So why do they tread on that? It's so frustrating, especially as these people are members of my own family...

People used to tread on my dreams. Now it does not happen. I do not share my goals with negative people. They will try to bring you down. I only share my dreams with other people who are successful and have dreams of their own. These people are encouraging and supportive

I have too many negative people around me.I had to learn to think positive so these people would stop treading on my dreams.

Constantly. The treading part. They don't want me to move to England because it is so far away from the US & they don't understand why I want to go.

Everything I say is questioned.
Everything I do is ridiculed
Everything I am is weird.
Is it any wonder I keep as far away from humans as I can? I have to go to work unfortunately, I love the work I do - I'm a carer - I just hate going because other people turn up to work too.

A bit of both really.
Most of my friends and family are incredibly supportive.
But there's one person in particular who not only treads, but stamps and jumps up and down...

I have too many people making demands on my time for me to even have any dreams anymore.
Honestly, I can't remember what they were.
