My German Shepherd went in season almost six weeks ago. I let her past because she is still pretty young and I won't breed her until she is about 2 years old and becomes more mature. However she is still swollen. Does it take that long before the swelling goes down completely. I am started to get worried hoping she does'nt have an infection.

I'm thinking of having a way of introducing our baby products home delivery service to the public by having an "open house". I've adopted a 7 year old male cat who needed a new home as his previous owners are moving abroad and can't take him with them. He was quite nervous to begin with but although he is now exploring his new environment, he isn't eating very much. He asks for food but then will only take a few mouthfuls. Is this likely to be due to him being in a new place and how long should I leave it until I get worried and take him to the vet.

that children become adjusted compared with the original family, do they react normally, do they live normal lives...is the relationship between the step parent the same as with the biological parents, is the relationship between the father/mother/child - step parent/father/mother/child the same - as in sharing time with the step parent and child between the parent and new step parent the same as with a life with biological parents and child - sharing activities, being together raising and teaching the child, setting examples - life issues teaching the child...sharing activities the same...or is it like half a life without the deep connection between the child and his biological parents together...serious questions I know...but I am trying to get a feel for this because my ex just announced an engagement to her boyfriend that she was hiding out for months...help

The proposals for the new fuel taxation means that because I have to use air travel to go to work I will lose out on cheaper flights for my holidays abroad. I do not think that these proposals have been thoroughly thought through. I realise that there has to be a way of reducing emissions, but I think that there are far larger countries( America for one) who have more cars/planes who can have more of an impact by tackling global warming than Britain.

the drs put my father in a nurseing home, he can hardly walk right now and i can't take care of him. I am his power of attorney. when i called my brother and his wife i was told i couldn't do anything without their permission. I've been taking care of him without any help for9 years.

i just find it a little disturbing that (and i know since he was elected by the american public he has every right to speak for that same public) when bush speaks at this little tour thing that he puts it in such terms...."the american public sees fit to send back-up troops to iraq". now that is not the direct qoute but it is the jest of it. why does he not just say the he sees fit to send in more troops instead of pawning his decisions off on the general population? some people may want to send in more troops but however to see the polls and listening ot the public, many do not. these comments by our elected president are just one reason why some many countries do not like americans in general. anyone else agree?
