The proposals for the new fuel taxation means that because I have to use air travel to go to work I will lose out on cheaper flights for my holidays abroad. I do not think that these proposals have been thoroughly thought through. I realise that there has to be a way of reducing emissions, but I think that there are far larger countries( America for one) who have more cars/planes who can have more of an impact by tackling global warming than Britain.

See the global warming issue for what it is. Socialist governments(UK) will use the fiction of man made global warming to increase your taxes, and restrict your liberties. Of course this will be sold to the gullible as needed to save the planet and preserve the eco-systems now operating. If the taxing governments can somehow convince those they tax that all this is the fault of the US all the better for them as if will divert attention from what they themselves do to steal from the productive in order to enlarge themselves

Global warming cannot be stopped by humans, because we are not the cause its a cycle. Ice age ended without the industrialization of man.
They should point the finger at China who is now a huge polluter.
