It happens all the time. A Spanish person will walk up to you and ask you
something in Spanish. And when you tell them in English that you don't understand their language, they get angry.

Hi,
I need some help with my school report and I hope some of you can help me by answering one or two of my questions.
My task (English class) is to write a report about how other countries see Germany/Germans. I'd like to know a few things like

1) Do you have a chlichéd picture of Germany? (like fat people wearing leather pants, eating sauerkraut and drinking beer all day xD)

2) Have you ever been to Germany and if yes, were you suprised positively or negatively?

3) Do you know any famous German people, movies or music?

4) What does the german language sound like to you (rough, manly..?)

btw: sorry for my English (i'm german)
Thank you very much for you answers in advance =)

My laptop is connected to my home network thru wifi. The little computer icon on the bottom right (task bar) blinks all the time, and when I open it, it shows that the wireless connection is sending out packets constantly. It also receives constantly, but at about half the rate of sending out. This happens even when I close Internet Explorer. This doesn't happen on my other laptop. Is there something wrong? Has my laptop been hijacked and used as a zombie?

I just found out that my babies head is engaged and low at 27 weeks. Does this mean I will have the baby soon? Has anyone carried full term with this situation? My cervix is still high and not dilated and this is my fourth child that will be a c-section. Any answers would be helpful. Thank you.

I took my daughter who just turned 9 and 2 of her friends to power play and on the way one of her friends said that she wants to be a cannibal when she grows up, that she watched a movie on it and that's what she wants to do, eat people. I then aked her if she wanted to eat people who are already dead or kill them and eat them. She said kill them and eat them. Should I be concerned about letting my daughter play with this girl?

I mean the current state-of-affairs. I am beginning to wonder whether feminism has done women as many favours as we might at first think. For example, the death of manners is almost intrinsically linked to feminism - most men don't give up their seats or hold the door for a woman any more and some don't even feel the need to modify their language or treat women nicely.

Also, there is a tendency now for women to feel like they 'have' to have a career. They are also compelled to go out to work rather than look after their children if they so choose.

I'm not suggesting that feminism wasn't great in many ways - equal pay for equal work or Child Support, for example, but do you think that, in many ways, it has made life much harder for women nowadays?

I went to a local bar/club on Friday night and I did not have enough cash for the cover charge so the person at the door told me to go to the bar and use my debit/ bank card to get the money from the bartender. The bartender took my card and charged me for the cover charge and gave me the cash. I just noticed that they added an extra $5 on there !

It has made my card overdrawn now by $2.50!

What can I do?
