With your fourth child it's hard to say.
May just be that it's your fourth child, and the more children, the earlier they tend to engage. Also with subsequent children they can go up and down, my 2nd did this. He was first engaged around 26 weeks and then went up and down till he was finally born at 40 weeks!
On the other hand, it could be a sign that your baby may be preterm...impossible to say really - sorry :o)

I was always led to believe by midwifes that babies often engage and disengage up until around 36 weeks so according to what ive been told your baby may not stay engaged, therefore hopefully implying that you will not be having your baby anytime soon. I was always told that its ususally only first pregnancies where babies, once engaged, stay engaged but not so with subsequent pregnancies whereby the baby continues to remain unsure about whether to be engaged or not !! goodluck

My third sons was like that for a while, and I delivered him at 34 weeks but I was also 4 cm dilated. Now Im pregnant with #4 and she has been low for quite a while also, and I was put into the hospital for preterm labor at 25 weeks. Im now almost 38 weeks with her.

Baby sounds like he/she is getting comfy in there. That is early! My baby engaged his head at 32 weeks pregnant and at 35 weeks now, his head has come up again. Common in subsequent pregnancys apparently. The engagement of his head threw me in to many false alarms too like strong irregular contractions, etc. Take it easy and put your feet up and if you start getting pre-labour symptoms and labour symptoms call your hospital. Good luck x :)

your baby will be fine they will keep a close eye on you an your baby's position , if he / she has not come back out off engaged position they might pull him or she out , but usually your baby will change position in time for your c section which will be around 35 weeks , an then rest rest an more rest ..

this is absolutely ok,i had a similar experience ,my doc told me it is the best, babies are uniquely made that they can be i the position for weeks without any problem.
If u ask me ,i will say this looks like a posibility of a natural birth coming ur way,if u believe this and put ur mind at rest then i assure you,the sky is ur limit.u can do it ,be cheerful and have a positive attitude about this, good luck.

when pregnant with my second, she engaged quite early. I went full term. The only problem I had was with pelvic pressure, every thing I did hurt and there is no solution.
