A very religious man lived right next door to an atheist. The religious man prayed every single day and night, spending much time at church, while the atheist never even thought of such acts.
However, the atheist's had a good life. An excellent, well-payed job, and a beautiful wife, lovely, healthy, children, whereas the religious man's job was stressful and his wages were low, his wife was getting fatter every day ,and his kids were obnoxious, and non loving.

So one day, while deep into his regular prayer, he looked towards heaven and asked, "Oh God, I honour you every day, I ask your advice for every problem and confess to you my every sin. Yet my neighbour, who doesn't even believe in you and certainly never prays, seems blessed with every happiness, while I go poor and suffer many an indignity. Why is this?"

A great voice bellowed out from above, "BECAUSE HE DOESN'T BOTHER ME ALL THE TIME!"

I'm leaving Las Vegas on a midnight flight on a Friday in April and I'm wondering where I can hang out between when I check out of my hotel and when I need to be at the airport. I will have already had a couple of day's of sightseeing so I'm really just looking for somewhere semi-comfortable and safe that I can hang out, maybe with a TV and access to a bathroom and food. I don't want to spend a lot (if I did, I'd just pay $150 for another night in my room). Even the cheap hotels are too expensive on a Friday night to take a room for a few hours. I'm not a drinker, so a bar's not an option either. Any ideas?

Okay, here's the deal. I got my laptop from repair the other day...everything was working fine. But, whenever i restart my system...all my updates, downloads, files are gone :S like it never exsisted. So i create normal files, do the normal stuff, and restart. It's all gone!
When the computer is switching on and loading, it says: Setting Personalised information or something, at one corner then a tour to XP blabla. Like it's brand new :s. i am the administrator of the pc. Please assist me in this matter.

Everyone has something inside that is truly extrordinary. An attitude, a perception, emotional awareness, and we all have at one time or another have been with a friend, family member, or aqaintence and thought "If only they had my sense of _________, then they would be okay or better or whatever."

Now I am NOT talking about a specific belief, or ideal, rather your abiltiy to express or understand that belief or ideal would be more realevent, if they were your BEST quaility.

So what one thing about you would implant in the general population if you could? Your abilty to love, Your compassion, Your common sense? Your sense of decency? It could even be a natural talent. Working with your hands? Photographic memory? The list may be long, But I only want ONE. So what about you is so great that if integrated in the general population it would ultimately benefit society. Tell Matticus he WANTS to KNOW.

O.K. I really need some help. I am 27 yrs old divorced with three kids (all boys between the ages of 5-9). I have a decent job with good pay but only because I work mad amounts of overtime. I went on a job interview and was offered the job. It pays about 10k less than I currently make but is salary and no overtime. The problem is it's 861 miles away from my kids. I only get to see them twice a month now, because I am required to work so much overtime. It is my dream job working with the space program. I have listed the pro's and con's and have a list a mile long for pro's. There is only one con. I really do hate my current job but could tolerate it I had no choice. I have rationalized every possible reason to leave. Things like it's only temporary, I might have a better opportunity to come back in the future, it's to help secure a better future for my kids, etc. I still don't know what to do. Help!!!!

i know this is so immature of me but i can't take it anymore. i live in a two flat apartment building so there is only me plus one neighbor living downstairs. she has 5 kids and lets them just run back and forth all day long. they are all homeschooled. and they all range from 9 months old to 10 years old. every morning i'm wokin up with her kids slamming and running. you swear she lives upstairs but they live below us. we've asked her many times before to calm her kids because it's really loud listening to them from up here. she said no problem. but then continues. i tried stomping on the floor, blasting loud music with loud bass, talking to the landlord is hopeless, what are some good ways to get her to stop. the music with loud bass works but when you have people sleeping up her they don't appreciate it in the morning.

Do you know those times when you can sense someone is looking at you in your peripheral vision so then you turn your head to see them looking at you, and then you gaze at each other for a second and then quickly turn away. Well this happened in my bio class yesterday about 5 or 6 times with a girl thats pretty cute and i wouldnt mind goin out with her. And then after class she smiled at me and we made eye contact for at least 15 seconds it seems. I just want to know if shes interested or was just looking at me for no reason. Cause i dont want to make a move on her and find out shes not interested and find my self in a very uncomfortable situation.
