This will tell you about your own Zodiac sign
The sign of Cancer is ruled by the Moon. Physically it is related to the breasts and stomach. It is said to have a feminine nature, and is therefore more reactive in its energy. It is a Water sign, and as such is connected to the world of emotion and the instincts. It is also a Cardinal sign, which means that planets placed here will express themselves in a very dynamic fashion - especially in matters connected with care and protection. This sign is associated with motherhood and the family. There is a great sensitivity on an inner level, but rather a secretive nature. Loyalty and attachment, sentimentality and hanging on to the past, are all characteristics associated with Cancer.
Planets in this sign will often reflect a vulnerable character and oversensitive nature. There is also a possessive streak, and a tendency to be emotionally smothering. Nevertheless Cancer confers a strong intuitive nature and deeply-held feelings. There is a strong attachment to the home and awareness of the environment. Planets in Cancer come to expression most clearly in connection with the home and family.
The bond to your mother will have been particularly formative. You are sensitive and easily hurt - though this may not be immediately apparent on the outside. Likewise, you are loyal and passionate in your defence of those you love - injury done to them is also done to you. You have a strong and instinctive protective nature. The greatest dilemma in your life comes when the bonds of attachment are broken - for example in connection with changes in the family structure. At these times it is important to recognise the dangers of sentimental attachment to the past. Your reluctance to let things go can stand in the way of your personal development. You have a great talent for building up a nurturing environment for those who are close to you, yet it can also help to be more open to those who are not necessarily so close. You are easily upset by changes in your daily rhythm, and can be rather grumpy when called upon to change habitual behaviours. Your home is your castle.

I am not a fan and I am not a hater. At the end of my very tiresome day, I would go to the newspaper to look at my horoscope and it is more like a 70% of the truth that happened that day. Some days I wish I would read the newspaper after stepping out the doors and somedays I would just read to just entertain myself. Sorry but I don't know much about cancer because I'm a Leo.

Horoscopes are a waste of space. As someone once pointed out, the gravitational pull of the hospital on you when you're born is far greater than the pull of planets millions of miles away. The idea that the alignment of the planets affects your personality is just too ridiculous for words.
You are *you* with your own distinict personality. You're not some robot with a pre-defined set of characteristics that you happen to have inherited because the planets were in a particular position at the moment you were born.

Astrology is the belief that the position of the stars and planets at the time of your birth can affect your personality and temperment. Furthermore, also claims the position of the stars and planets affect your mood, romance and fortune throughout your life. What support or proof do astrologers offer to validate their claims? Absolutely none because there isn't any proof.
Many people claim not to believe in astrology, but say it's fun to read horoscopes anyway. This is as ridiculous as believing in it because it lends credence and popularity to the practice.
Can anyone identify this quote?: A quick reminder these [astrological] reports are not intended to foster belief in astrology, but merely to support people who cannot take responsibility for their own lives.

I, too, am a Cancer and although I don't plan my day-to-day activities based on my horoscope, I do find it entertaining to read sometimes. Sometimes my horoscope fits me to a "T" and I can't help but wonder if it's real or not! :) Either way, enjoy it.

Usually my horoscope is pretty right on with every event in my life, but they are generalized in such a way that I don't rely on them.
