I've been working at subway since very late October 06, and I just learned today that I'm being 'let go' because my boss can't afford me on as staff any more and because they don't have enough hours... That's their excuse anyway.

My question is, can they really just fire me like that? Obviously if they sacked me today, they've gone past the 90 day period, so what's the loophole there...

I didn't sign any contract or anything, though, so I don't know if they're within their rights, or if I've just been screwed and need to do something about it...

So, do I deserve some sort of compensation, of what? what do I do?

It seems like some crappy timing since my husband and I were in the last stages of buying a house... At least they didnt' wait until we'd already signed the papers...

I want funny stories of marriage circumstance, odd vows, not a bummer like people getting married and then blowing themselves up, but cool funny tales of the weirdest marriage ceremony and marriage vows you've ever taken part in or seen. Yes, the title line IS true. I was married in a double-lobster ceremony (2 cooked lobsters exchanged between me and my husband) and the wedding guests then proceeded to devour the lobsters afterwards. This was part of a full-bore multiple-marriage ceremony Subgenius Devival in 1992. I am waiting for your Weird Tales!

Seems to me it would be a seller. A pickup is nice but not a practical as a van.
The best you can do in a pickup (if you have an 8' bed) is 8'. unless you let it hang out over the tailgate.
In a van you can slide things all the way up to the engine cover - close the doors and go!
Everything stays dry and clean (as in long pieces of lumber -- 10 to 12 footers) Or as in drywall or vinear plywood.
I think this would be very practical. I know I'd buy one.

I just recently became engaged and am starting to plan my wedding. I really want a strapless dress, I just really like the way they look..well little problem. We ordered a car from Toyota and have the option to trade in our Jetta to Toyota. However, we are also considering taking the Jetta to Carmax to sell. Assuming that both places offer the same amount, my question is whether or not there are additional taxes or something on a car that you sell to carmax if you are just going to walk away with the money?
