When Columbus and his sailors came ashore Bahama Islands, carrying swords, the Arawaks came to greet them with food, water and gifts. And what Columbus did in return was take some of the Arawak Indians as captives or slaves and brought them and insisted that they guide him to the source of gold. When the Spaniards took prisoners, they hang them and burned them. Some of the Arawak Indians committed mass suicides to escape from the hell they were in to.

So why do we celebrate Columbus Day???

So I have High-Functioning Autism, though no one would know I have it unless I told them, but they would notice I act different from the average person, but that's not the point.

So I am 19, and never have had a relationship of any kind (boyfriend-wise). And I want to know if there are other people like me, and if there is a way to over come it and be able to form relationships.

I seem to either like guys who don't like me back, but the ones who do don't like me for very long. Like it's something I'm doing wrong. And I heard that many Autistics deal with the same thing that I do, with not being able to get into such relationships.

I know it sounds like a bad soap opera, but i just started dating a girl who was my best friend's (who is also a girl) best friend, but then my girlfriend told me that our best friend had a huge crush on me, which I was totally unaware of, so now we don't know how to tell her that we're dating without hurting her feelings, or having her feel betrayed. Our best friend has definite anger issues, and is very sensitive, so we don't know how to break it to her gently. What should we do? In trying to be ultra-reliogious, I once left the tree out of our celebration. It just did not seem the same. i know there is a risk of it using tampons, being that it's a foriegn object, so can an IUD do the same thing? I have one and sometimes i start to itch on my arms, and then i can see my veins really good, almost too good. but then in like 2 minutes, it all stops. Could this be a side affect of it being rejected? I've had my IUD for almost 5 months now. I dont know if that has anything to do with it but just wondering. What would be some side affects of Toxic Shock Syndrome?
