just because you can't see Him with the physical eyes, does not mean that He is not there. I have met God, I have talked to God and He lives in my heart and He talks to me all the time. That is not insanity - it just means that I know someone you don't.

We are "witnesses" of the "living God"....we have been "born again" not of the flesh but of the spirit. So we have seen...with spiritual eyes. Christianity is about a real relationship with God (not "blind faith").

As the Lord said in Jeremiah 3:33, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

God Bless!

I see God in nature everyday. Sunrise, sunset, snow, flowers, trees, animals, ocean, I could go on...I have met Him in reading many, many Christian writings, heard His word in Church, learned of the way to salvation and eternal bliss in Heaven. I talk to Him in prayer, song, creeds and more. Have you ever seen George Washington? Do you believe that he existed? Who would you guess has more written about him, Washington or God/Jesus? Have you ever seen Columbus? Napoleon? ... Did you ever utter some off color words when lets say: cut off in traffic, drop and break something, spill something, hit your thumb, turn an ankle?? Who were you talking to?? If you have a pet, do you think they understand every word you say to them?? If you know of another way to eternal life, you know something other people don't .

Tell me,how can you believe in Alexander the Great, whom you have never seen/met/talked to?
Of course, there are differences. But the principle applies.
Yes,I have had experiences which can only be explained by God.A friend of mine's leg became normal length. My teacher's grandson was healed of his autism.I have had many other experiences which confirm this.
That's one of the reasons why I believe.

It would never be considered insane if such activity was practiced by a majority of people.

However, I think we've all learned this from the Middle Ages: the majority does not determine truth.

Just because someone (in this case you) has never personally experienced God firsthand does not mean he does not exist. I agree with the first post in that your logic is faulty.

Many people believe in their "soul mate", without ever having any tangible proof or knowledge of their existence. And yet we call these people "hopeless romantics" and not crazy.

there are a lots of things that you don't see and believe of, for example: spirit you cant see it but you know that its there or air you cant see it but its there. believing in something doesn't mean you have to see it but also to feel it.
there are Creator for every creation, for example: a car cant built it self or a building it will no rise by it self, so what if we talk about the people or the plants or even the universe.

If you have an experience of God's presence, you would understand how we can believe. I walk by faith, not by sight. God's holy spirit dwells within a born again believer in Christ. That is how we can know Him. You may call it anything you wish.

Well i am not a christian but thats faulty logic.

Do you believe that George Washington existed?

You see where i am going with this i presume.

Of course whether or not GW existed has no impact on your "supposed" immortal soul, if thats what your getting at.

True, I haven't "seen" God, but I've met Him and I talk with Him frequently in prayer.

Can you see gravity?
Can you see electricity?
Can you see heat?
Radio waves?
Based on your question then, we must all be INSANE since we cannot see them, meet them, or talk to them. Therefore, they don't exist, right?
