I don't know if I would call mine an actual phobia, but, I have big issues with foods touching on my plate. Very few foods are allowed to touch, if I'm eating those that aren't allowed to touch I will simply eat around the parts that are touching other foods.

In the 21c I would ask - "Why any phobia at all?"

Because unless you actually enjoy the phobia, get it extinguished.

All phobias are learnt and are easy to get rid of. There are at least ten fast phobia cures in NLP. Hypnosis also has a terrific track record with getting shot of them.

Here goes my list, I'm pretty nuts :)

Agateophobia- Fear of insanity (been there, and don't wanna go back there!)
Altophobia- Fear of heights
Aviatophobia- Fear of flying
Bacteriophobia- Fear of bacteria
Lockiophobia- Fear of childbirth (also been there, and man was I scared the second time!)
Molysomophobia- Fear of dirt or contamination (my daughter has CF, so dirt and contamination are pretty scary to me)
Also add a fear of cheese graters and growing old and bitter.

I can't stand ticking clocks either, but that's because I have hypersensitive hearing. Or maybe I'm just neurotic?
