I don't normally wear a whole lot but I need something that will last all day since I don't really have the chance to touch up at all. Oh and liquid foundation makes me break out so that won't work. Thanks!

With traditional tube fluorescent bulbs, my understanding is that there is quite a bit of energy required to get them started. For instance, in a public restroom, the lights are typically turned on and off repeatedly during the day, so it might apply that an incandescent bulb would be better .... or leave the fluorescent bulb on.

Do compact fluorescent bulbs share this characteristic?

Is it a true or flawed guideline to use compact fluorescent bulbs mostly in situations where you will be leaving the light on for some relatively extended amount of time? If so, what is the "break-even point" where a compact fluorescent bulb is preferred?

Note: perhaps my impression about tubular fluorescent bulbs is obsolete and they have gotten better.

I've been wanting a tattoo for about 16 years now and I think I'm finally getting the nerve. I don't want anything too big, possibly something celestial or something to do with music.

In my case, it was with a neighbor, so everyone in the neighborhood knows that he had an affair and with whom. If you don't feel foolish, how did you deal with that. I am taking him back ( if two months of marriage counseling goes well, my condition) because I have three small kids, under 8. Was it worth it? Were you humiliated?

Nobody believes me! Toilet paper in Britain used to be waxed on one side like the stuff you use to line baking trays. It was completely unabsorbant and just spread the stuff all over your bottom.

I went to America recently and was reminded of it when an American asked if we still used it in Britain.

Where can I get some? I am feeling nostalgic and would also like to find one of those big red bars of carbolic soap which I could use to dissolve the dead skin on my feat.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive now for 7 months with no luck. We track our ovulation, but still, no baby. I'm scheduled to have some tests done this month (I'm told one is very painful- name escapes me and the other involves blood work) Any advice as to something I can be doing? Please no "Don't worry, try not to stress out comments"- I've had my fill from Mom. If it matters at all, I was on BC for 2 years prior to trying. Please- any advice or similar situations would really be helpful. Thanks! and Good Luck!!

I have been raising my 2 grandchilren for the last 7 months. The CPS put them in placement in my home until parents finished what they needed to- drug court ect...Their time is getting close and they are far from where they need to be. I know they love the children. Does anyone know what I would have to do to adopt them and then what happens to the parents? Do I lose my son out of it? If someone else adopts them do I lose my grandchildren?Being single and 49 count against me? what are the circumstances that I wouldn't be able to adopt them? What are the steps involved? I love them and really thought parents would straighten up, I thought a few months now I am looking at years of being mom again, kinda scares me, feel cheated out of being grandma. i don't want to lose g kids. 19 mo and 7 mo olds had them since birth. Can anyone relate to my problem.? Went out of town for the day and got home both parents in jail for min. of 7 days on contempt court. I don't know of why right now?

I was really wanting a food processor awhile back so my mom gave me this large real nice one. But now that I have it, I'm not sure what I am supposed to use it for (other than cutting up vegs for a salad).

Should we, as the voting public, allow the politics of personal destruction to dictate who we vote for?

I believe I have it right when I say that Facism does not neccesarily equate with racism, as is the common belief, but rather refers to militaristic rule or dictatorship.

So therefore, in theory, could a facist rule be beneficial in some circumstances? I refer to advancements in science and national infrastructure, and not genocide or wide-spread violence.

Surely the Roman Empire, British Empire (not strictly Facist, I know) and Nazi regime all heralded major technological advancements (again, I am fully aware of the accompanying atrocities)? Do they merit a more 'shoot first, ask questions later' attitude in their nature?

By facism in this question I am referring to the pure, textbook meaning of the word.

This is not neccessarily my viewpoint but just one that was brough to my attention recently.

Thanks for serious answers.

Note: please do not rant about the holocaust or Hitler's madness, that is not what this question is about.

Once upon a time when a Blonde was hard up for money, she decided to kidnap a child. So the next day she goes to a nearby playground and when nobody is looking, she pulls a random kid behind a tree and says, "You're kidnapped, so be quiet and don't give me any trouble." The little boy, too startled to do anything stands there in shock. The Blonde then pulls out a note that reads:

I am a desperate Blonde hard up for money. I have kidnapped your kid and if you ever want to see him again you arrange for 5,000 dollars in non-sequencial, unmarked bills to be put next to this tree by 12:00 tonight, or else.

She hands the note to the kid and tells him to give it to his mother. The next day the Blonde finds the bag of money next to the tree. Inside the bag is a little note that reads:

Here is the money. How could you do this to a fellow Blonde?
