My daughter had a playground accident where she bit her tongue near in half. They stitched that afternoon and the next day it was healed. Mouth injuries look awful but heal quickly. But putting something foreign in your tongue is very scarey I would worry about infections.

it would take about 3 months for a thoung piercing to heal propably. that is why the thoung has more fiber than regular flesh and blod wil not atatch to the "skin" as fast.

my tounge pirece healed for just 6 to 10 days
