My husband and I have been trying to conceive now for 7 months with no luck. We track our ovulation, but still, no baby. I'm scheduled to have some tests done this month (I'm told one is very painful- name escapes me and the other involves blood work) Any advice as to something I can be doing? Please no "Don't worry, try not to stress out comments"- I've had my fill from Mom. If it matters at all, I was on BC for 2 years prior to trying. Please- any advice or similar situations would really be helpful. Thanks! and Good Luck!!

Hi there, i know how you feel ive been ttc for 3 years now and as you can imagine am extremely fed up. We have had all the tests done, the only painful one was the laproscopy to check my tubes werent blocked. I wont lie to you i was sore afterwards but its not that terrible and well worth it for peace of mind. I hate when people tell me to relax and it will happen, HOW?!!! Do you know when you ovulate and to stay laying down for 10 mins after sex to let all the sperm collect in the seminal pool? Sperm sits in a little pocket just below your cervix and takes turns at 'swimming up' I lay on my tummy because i have a tilted cervix. Try taking Kalms herbal pills they really help to relax me, apparently the hormone you produce when you are stressed has a devastating effect on your body making it harder to conceive. I know your not likely to take advice from someone whos still not pregnant but who knows that i might be doing everything right and its just not my time yet! Are you underweight? This can stop ovulation. Also they reckon that taking multivitamins raises your chances of conception as it could be something simple like a lack of nutrients. Make sure you are well lubricated before sex to make it easier for sperm to swim and if you use any creams etc then make sure they arent harmful to sperm. I wish you lots of luck x

I can't really offer any advise except try to live as healthy as possible, you seem to be doing everything right with tracking ovulation and going to the Dr for tests, but I can offer my sympathy. I've been ttc for 9 months now after coming of the pill. My problem though was that I stopped ovulating. I went the Dr and she gave me a pill to help jump start me ovulating again. I also started exercising, reducing stress, sleeping better and more regularly. I ovulated for the first time in six months a couple of weeks ago so here's hoping. I hope your tests reveal the reason for the delay in conception and the fix. Good luck.

I can tell you that the moment you relax i had given up on becoming pregnant after trying for a year and the moment i did i became pregnant and i am due in september so your mom is right when she says to relax it really does help also only have sex every other day when you are ovulating because guys need at least 24 hours to "reload" and if you really dont Stress you will become pregnant

Since it's always the couples that aren't trying to get pregnant who end up that way, it stands to reason the moment you stop trying is when it is likely to happen.

Bummer how most everything in life seems to work that way, but in the meantime you might as well enjoy the sex, which, if you're not enjoying at least that part, this could hold some clues as well.

Which, one thing you might try is to have a little less sex, I think this might be a case where less is better, and please stop worrying about it, you got plenty of time, of that I am sure.

Their going to fill your tube with a dye to see if you have any blockage. Then they'll check you blood for abnormalities. If they all check out perfect, then your man needs to find out if he's shooting blanks. I don't care what you do to improve, if he ain't shootin, you wont ever get pregnant.

If nothings wrong with him then try some Geritol vitamins (over the counter) that a get your body goin......
P.S.
is he diabetic?????????Sometime diabetics have a very low sperm count and even when they shoot its in a thicker liquid that wont allow the sperm to swim properly.

God Luck
Prayer also helps
