I asked who they were and what they wanted but they said they could not talk to me unless I gave them the last 4#'s of my social security number. I made up 4 numbers and they said that was not what they had on file...surprise surprise. The guy said he had to terminate the call because I must be the wrong party...of course he still would never tell me the reason for the call. He claimed to be from First Electronics or something along those lines. Anyone else have a similar experience? What kind of scam are they running? Anyone actually given out their ss# to these people...what happened? I tried calling the number back...of course there was no answer and the "mailbox" is full...

I by no means want to upset him, but I'm so sick of cleaning up after him, our toddler and our pets day in and day out. Let me explain..He does cook dinner sometimes, and will give our son a bath if I ask him to. But..He doesn't clean up after himself at all, doesn't pick up his dirty clothes, food wrappers, plates or anything, and has left cups in his office until they molded. He doesn't do laundry, and if he does, he only washes his clothes that he needs for the next day. If I have clothes in the washer or dryer when he needs to use them, he'll empty the dryer on our diningroom table, and he'll put a washer full of wet clothes in a basket and leave them there. I recently got over being sick and unable to clean up, and I'm appalled at my house. All the dirty clothes the family had accumulated were strewn all over the laundry room and our bedroom, the sink was full of food-covered dishes (and we have a dishwasher!) and the floors and counters were filthy. He doesn't pick up his own food wrappers or dishes, and has even left things that were dangerous to our child within his reach. How can I talk to him about this without upsetting him. He has a temper and gets really upset when I ask him about these things.

So, I'm going to eat some veggies & fruits. That sounds easy, but it's NOT! How can I change my diet to veggies & fruits, but not suffer "it tastes nasty" syndrome? Anyway to spice up the new eating habit???

I have a 25 gallon tank and I have a filter that is recommended for the tank. The filter seems to be sending ouy air bubbles out of it and the air bubbles just sit on top of the water, is there a way I can stop these bubbles from forming, they are starting to make my tank ugly.

I'm only 14 years old and I have been having a terrible couple weeks..

I feel as if I can't do anything I used to do. I'm always tired even though I sleep all the time. I have been withdrawling from my friends as well as my family. I don't feel like myself. I recently went through one of the worst break-ups ever and I was thinking that I was just having a bad time because of that. But now I even sometimes think about suicide. That I would hurt less if I was gone. And that no one wanted me here anyways...

I don't know what to do..My friends say that I need to see a doctor because I am super depressed. Maybe I should.

Does this sound like depression? What should I do?

I'm adding this to Vickey's question below.

If you're a foreigner who IS fluent at Japanese and willing to learn technical terms in Japanese, then are some of the following professions open to you?

1. Doctor (after a few more years studying Japanese terminology and other stuff for the Japanese medical licence, of course)

2. Laboratory-based researcher
3. University lecturer (there are lots of foreign lecturers here in England, many of whom speak English worse than I speak Japanese)

4. Architect
5. Sales manager
6. Interior designer
7. Public accountant
etc. etc.

In other words, all those jobs that:
- Are classified as "professional",
- Require at least a Master's degree (e.g. MBA) or professonal degree (e.g. for Medicine or Architecture)
- Pay well and require lots of thinking.

These sorts of professions.

Are they open to foreigners skilled in Japanese, like they are open in the UK to highly-educated foreigners who speak English?

This is for a job application, so it needs to be formal and accurate.

I told my ex-gf(when she was still my gf) that I liked her short hairstyle and short fringe because I could see her eyes. I also told her I liked the way she wore red lipstick and lipgloss. As soon as I told her this, she grew her fringe over her eyes and stopped doing her makeup like this. When I asked her why, she told me because I told her I like it! She told me she looked pretty for other boys because they dont tell her they like her look. If I liked something she always stopped doing it, did the opposite or promised me she wojuld do it but didnt, and asked me ""Are you dissapointed"" with a smile on her face. I didnt mind if she looked pretty for other boys(she said she doesnt want to look ugly for them)or girls, but why not for me if she told me she loves me? She even said if I want her to I must force her!!!Since I went overseas she cut her hair and her fringe very short and wearing bright red lipstick and lots of lipgloss and telling me shes going out with her friends.

I want to create a new user on Windows XP, which i know how to do, but i am not sure how i can set restrictions on what this user can and can't do. For example, whether or not they can change the screensaver, add or remove software, view system files (incase of accidental deletion), editing user restrictions etc etc. Is there any way of setting these restrictions and others on XP without affecting the other users.

Thanks :]
