Totally!!! I consider myself to be a pretty moral person... I don't steal or lie (except to my boss or cops!). I work hard and try to help others by donating my time and money to the poor and to good causes, etc. I'm good to my friends and the people I love,
however I've had many Christians tell me that I'm going to rot in hell if I don't accept Jesus into my life.

I considered myself to be very spiritual and I follow a loosely eclectic religion based on nature based religions and the teachings of Jesus and Budha. Yes, I have premarital sex too. However, just because you don't follow a particular religious code doesn't mean you are a bad person. You live by your own moral code. Whereas, being gay might be wrong to one person, it might not be to another. I'm sure someone might thinks it's ok to kill people too, but all in all just try to be a good person. That's all any religion ever really wanted, right?

Of course you will be saved. And Karma is real, man,

We are to believe in God, not religion. Religion is man made, not God made.Religion can be used as a guide but should not be worshipped. To be saved, one must confess that Jesus is Lord and Savior. Religion will not save anyone, only Jesus can do that

unless you are christian, what exactly is it that you are wanting to be saved from?

Salvation from "sin" (missed opportunities for being helpful) comes from god (or the universe or free will, it's all connected) directly in the form of our ability to make better choices than the ones that have been hurtful to others in the past, and to suck it up make it right when we screw someone over. That's what good people do anyway, so yeah, everybody who is good is "covered. Of course, no one is purely good, but as long that description is meant to include anyone who makes an effort to improve the lives of those around them, my opinion is the same.

No! Jesus said there is none good no not one.

The Bible says many times that good works do not get you to Heaven.

The Apostle Paul said, not be works lest any man should boast.

Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Light, no man comes to the Father but by me.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

I believe that, if there is a god(s), and if there is a heaven like place or a hell like place, he/she/it/them will judge us based on our deeds and how we have grown throughout life, and send us where we should go. There is no Christ, your religion doesn't matter, if you were a good person you get what you deserve, if you were bad, you do to.

Of course, I could be wrong. I'm an Agnostic, and I know that no one will ever know the truth until the day they die. This is just what I think.

You have to be a pretty awful person to thumbs down someone just because their belief doesn't match yours.

saved from what? people automatically assume there is a hell. a punishment for simply not believing in the christian god. Thats perfectly normal and fine if you dont believe. you have reason not to. its not like god revealed himself to every being on this planet. ( and some bible hugging christians would beg to differ) I believe you are on a perfect path, right where you should be. you're asking questions and you're remaining a good person. If god would send you to such a place as hell . for simply not believing in him(since he's "revealed himself to EVERYONE") then I think god would be acting very childish in that manner and I wouldnt want to be in heaven if god is as unmerciful as most christians make him out to be.

My God would not be so ruthless as to damn people because of the way they were raised.

I believe all religions are right in some way, but you can be an athiest or whatever and still be "saved".

Good people are presumably people who do good things, good works. But works without faith is not enough, nor is faith without works.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

James 2:17
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

We are all infected and impure with sin. When we proudly display our righteous deeds, we find they are but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall. And our sins, like the wind, sweep us away.

All of have sinned. . . It is only through belief of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross that we can be saved.
