According to Aquinas there are four kinds of law (Eternal, Natural, Human, and Divine). In some ways Human Law and Divine Law appear to complement one another: the former governing our external actions (what can be observed by others), the latter governing our internal thoughts/intentions (what others cannot see). Are these two laws equally important or is one or the other more essential to our fulfillment as human beings? Explain. Thanks! :)

I bought my boyfriend tickets to a game for valentines day, and we broke up a few days afterward. He had asked me to hold on to the tickets, and when we broke it off, he said he didnt want to go if it wasnt with me. My good friend, who really has always been there for me, offered to buy the tickets (a little insensitively) off me and i agreed. My boyfriend and I sort of made up, and he asked about the tickets. It turned out to be that I have to work tonight (game day). He asked if it would be alright if he went with one of his buddies. Problem is I had already promised my friend i'd give her the tickets. Technically I couldnt say no to him- it was his gift! not to mention he took me to a really expensive dinner. I gave him the tickets, and my friend already asked her (jerk) boyfriend to take off work so that they could go. What do I say to her?

Yesterday (Sunday) my x-wifes husband died. I feel aweful and have mixed emotions. He was the man that cheated with my wife some 10 years ago. We had 3 children all under 18 at the time, she also had 1 child with him 6 years ago. My x-wife did every dirty trick in the book to me including bring false charges of physcial abuse during our divorce, the man she was having the affair with lived next door, she married him 3 days after our divorce. She insisted the kids call him dad and me by my first name, that didn't last long. I did get cusody of 2 of my children, their marriage was horrible, filled with huge fights and nearly divorce several times. This man hated me, but I know his hate was because he was so lied to by my x-wife, even in this past year she told him I was coming on to her and begging her to come back to me, he would call me up and yell and scream, no matter how much I told him that this wasn't true, he believed her. My x-wife loved to cause problems and keep his jealous.

Yes i want to be a police officer. I want to help my community hands on and law enforcement has always been someting that i wanted to do. WHat steps are there to becoming a cop and how long does it usually take.

(im also tired of stereo types with cops involving doughnuts, shooting people for no reason, being a highschool bully. etc. so if u dont have a logical answer then do not respond to this question)

I need some advice, I am a Transexual, I have been seeing a counciler for months now and my Dr to help sort myself out. All of which I have done in private. In order to move on I need to start telling people, but have no idea how to brouch the subject with my freinds? I also want to start living as a female in order to make transistion much easier in the future? But dont know where to start, I think that I look ok and dont dress over the top just normal, But when it comes to stepping outside the door I panic and cant do it! What are your thoughts? I cant carry on living like I am but really cant see a way forward?

I am trying to be environmentally friendly and recycle most household rubbish - I have just purchased a PAPER BRIQUETTE MAKER, to recycle my newspapers, and hopefully use in the summer for the fire pit etc., When I received it, it mentions at the bottom of the instruction manual, that it is not LEGAL everywhere to burn these briquettes, and to check with our local council!!!

Apart from wanting to know if its worth all the hastle, is it legal, has anyone come up against this? I am rather cross about the whole thing at the moment.

Around 800 A.D. a phenomenon known as the Medieval Warm Period was starting. It was a time of about 700 years of increased global temperatures.

Do you think there was a guy in 800 A.D.named Albert Gore who made a minstrel tale named "Thine Inconvenientest Truth", which said that the world would end soon.

He probably attributed the increased temperature to the large number of ships. Maybe the ships were using their sails to catch the wind, and therefore the wind could no longer cool the earth.

All the minstrels then tried to convince everybody to quit using sails so that the earth would cool down.

And guess what? It did, 700 years later. And guess when that was? 700 years ago.

So the earth warmed up for 700 years, then cooled down for 700 years, and now it is starting to warm up again, but somehow it is human's fault?

Simmer down, thine minstrel Albert Gore.
