No matter what he is telling the media, the only reason he wants to come back is for those 12 home runs. The number "600" has be eating at him for some time. He bailed on baseball when the steroid issue got too hot. Now he's trying to slip in the back door and reach 600 just for his own self gratification. I hope he doesn't make the team. He's a cheater and should not be allowed back in baseball.

If he is a more involved player with the Rangers, then he has a chance of getting at least 30 HRs and 100 RBIs. The difference between his play with the Cubs and the Orioles was that with Chicago he was an involved player and he like he was in the groove every day. He is not much of a player if he spends 70% of his time as a bench warmer. He is trying out in the farm system, he will have a chance to prove if he has a arm or not defensively. That has a direct bearing on how much he is worth a player in the major leagues. I give him credit for trying.

very seldom players come back from an off year with any success and I dont see this as any different. He left betcause his skills had deteriorated and he will put up mediocre numbers at best..maybe a dozen home runs, bat .250 or less, maybe do some dh or fill in work, but his days as a star are over

I'm sure he'll make the Rangers for a boost in attendance. He will probably be they're DH 9 times out of 10, and won't really do that much.

He'll probably play with the Rangers and make a fool out of himself like Jordan did when he came back with the Wizards.

He will play for Texas and have limited HR power, proving further his 1998 HR contest with McGwire was a farce based on steroids
