Should a man be able to say he doesn't want a child and doesn't want to be a father even after having unprotected sex. Should a man be able to terminate his rights? Women can terminate the pregnancy, thus not producing a child or the need to be obligated and responsble for a child. Should her actions dictate what a man has to do? Should her options be a man's obligation? Is it ok that the court enforces men to have children (financial responsiblility) but won't force women to have children? Single women adopt children all the time. If women want to have children w/o the father, if they want to be the sole decision maker on the subject, why would you make a man pay for her decision? I am not saying you should make abortion illegal but if you did, then the field would be level and if she got pregnant, they both would be obligated from that point, not just one. If a man gives a woman $20K and she puts that on a house, that man is not obligated or responsible for that house.
