Ouija = the belief one can receive messages during a séance by the Ouija board (also called talking board, spirit board) and planchette. The fingers of the participants are placed on the planchette which then moves about a board covered with numbers, letters and symbols so as to spell out messages.

Ouija is a trademark for a talking board currently sold by Parker Brothers. While the word is not a genericized trademark, it has become a trademark which is often used generically to refer to any talking board.

Although Ouija boards are viewed by some to be a simple toy, there are people who believe they can be harmful, including Edgar Cayce, who called them "dangerous."[3] Critics warn that "evil demons" pretend to be cooperative ghosts in order to trick players into becoming spiritually possessed.

DON'T DO IT PEOPLE!

I know from first-hand experience that using a Ouija board exposes one to spirits. I witnessed a friend being possessed by a spirit after engaging in a Ouija session. I was there, along with others, while he went into a trance-like state and started to use vile language, thrash around and give all the signs of being demon-possessed. His heart, pulse and breathing became erratic and it took hours for him to come round. Furthermore, whatever it was that had possessed him roamed round the building looking for other victims. It came into my bedroom and woke me up. It was pure evil and my only defence was to call on the name of Jesus for protection.

I haven't got the wit, the time or the inclination to make any of this up. But I'm glad you've posted this question because it gives an opportunity for others to expose this Satanic practise as EVIL & DANGEROUS.

Perhaps you would now like to consult your Ouija board and ask who should get best answer - bet it won't be me!

How do you know what the rest of us may have experienced? Can you trust this knowledge you claim to have?

All a ouija board is is a point of contact. It does not bind those who speak through it to truth. It offers no guarantee of safety. It has no intrinsic power - you can make one with a few scraps of paper or buy one from the board game makers who own the trademark. There are entities in the astral who seek to harm mankind and plenty of bad people die who wouldn't be interested in helping their fellows back on the material plane. How do you know you are not conversing with one of them?

I admit I have no personal experience with a ouija board. But then, I've never stuck my hand in a fire to see what happens either. I'm basing my opinion on common sense and wisdom. I have read a lot of evidence against the use of ouija boards and not as you allege, that written by spooked school children, but studies by James Randi and John Zaffis, respected paranormal researchers. Ouija boards are abhorred by every medium, parapsychologist and witch of sense that I have ever spoken to. The best you can expect from them is the projection of your own subconscious, the worst, the interest of a poltergeist, as many have learnt to their misfortune.

I'm frankly not impressed by your assertions. You provide no actual evidence of this awesome spiritual knowledge you have gained and you evince blind faith and extreme arrogance. If you know all there is to know, why are you on a site asking questions of we poor, living folk? Prove what you claim, or stop pontificating.

i have had both good, and bad experiences while using one. from my understanding there is one main spirit attached to a board... that does NOT, however, keep a spirit with more "power" from taking over from time to time.

once a friend and i were using one in my bathroom (no windows and completely dark if not for the use of candles). a spirit took over the board that said "you die". we were terribly shaken by this. the next day my brother was in the bathroom (he never knew about the event the night before) and all of the sudden he started screaming and was pulling on the door knob. he thought us girls were holding the knob from the outside, hence trapping him in the bathroom UNTIL the light went out... which is when he started to panic.

another time when using the board we asked our friendly "tour guide" if you get to choose who you are born to. he said yes. i asked what kind of person he would choose to be born to and he said "yours". the spirit called himself "Frank" and claimed to have passed away as a child in a fire. within a few months i found out i was pregnant. i had a boy. when he was small and first drawing he would give me terrible chills because he would draw pictures OF FIRES, sometimes even a house on fire. it COULD be coincidence... BUT, who really knows for sure?

i believe that the powers attached to the board are REAL, but i don't know how much of what they say is truth.

I've yet to come across someone who's had positive results from using an Ouija board...

What I know is that a true spirit, a good spirit, is unlikely to contact you through a ouija board.

But if it works for you, mate, you carry on.

I have a couple of Ouija boards, and play with them occasionally. Sometimes I get results, sometimes I don't, depending on my frame of mind.
But, I've never once had a demon bother me before, during, or after playing with a Ouija board because there are no such things as demons.
Peace

Sorry Frankie - I really don't like them regardless of the fact that you feel they have so much information to offer. It's like flinging open your front door and asking everyone in the vicinity to drop in - regardless of their background - only it's spirits that you can't see or stop coming in. That's what I know about them. Scary.

They can be very good in finding out things, but you have to use them with people you trust,I do not think using they Quija board for your own gain as a good idea, and never heard of it being used in this manner, this is not a toy
