I have some practice problems I am working on this weekend for a programming meet at my high school. One of the problems wants me to count vowels and consonants. I have this part done without any problems. The next step is to count the whole string without using the .length method. I am not sure how to do this. I think I have to use an array here but not sure how to do it. From what the directions say I have to have all user defined methods. I tried to call my coach for help but his wife said he was not going to be home this weekend. Thanks for the help in advance.

My husband has a female friend whom he is "helping to get over "her abusive ex who is also his friend of 15 years. I am pregnant, emotional, and a little jealous of the phone conversations and her coming over to hang out with "us" when all they do is talk about common interests. Trust me when I say she is highly unattractive; however, female body parts are basically the same when the lights are out. She recently began working with him. I warned him that there are to be no friendly lunch dates but I'm sure there will be if there hasn't been already. I think he is being sincerly a nice friend to her but in her time of vulnerability she may mistake his intentions and fall for my husband. Then I will have to beat her down. But before it comes to that, any suggestions? Can they just be friends?

I got my nose pierced (with a gun) about 4 days ago. Looking back I realized the gun probably was a bad choice. But anyways, I look at the piercing and it seems to be sinking! I have tried to loosen the back but have had no luck! It really hurts and still is pretty red around the piercing. I'm afraid that the piercing is going to make a huge hole or even up going through my nose! Should I go back to the piercer, go see my doctor or is there anything at home I can do? Or am I just worrying too much about it....

I just bought a VW new beetle. It's used but it has leather interior. Don't get me wrong I love leather but I have a dog and stuff on leather slides including my dog. :) Anyway I love blue and I love butterflies so I kinda wanted to find a blue butterfly seat cover. Any suggestions? Thanks.

my daughter in law has a boxer ,I have the half brother by the dog only ,
Her boxer has developed a small lump on his leg and had it removed ,my daughter in law said the vet said it was most likely cancer as it was pink ,
My boxer had a lump on his head but the vet gave me some cream and it cleared,anyone know anything about these lumps ,am very worried thankyou

Three men decided to split the cost of a hotel room. The hotel manager gave them a price of $30.

The men split the bill evenly, each paying $10, and went to their room. However, the hotel manager realized that it was a Wednesday night, which meant the hotel had a special: rooms were only $25. He had overcharged them $5!

He called the bellboy, gave him five one-dollar bills and told him to return it to the men.

When the bellboy explained the situation to the men, they were so pleased at the honesty of the establishment that they promptly tipped the bellboy $2 of the $5 he had returned and each kept $1 for himself.

So each of the three men ended up paying $9 (their original $10, minus $1 back) totalling $27, plus $2 for the bellboy makes $29.

You can get 3-by-5, 4-by-6, 5-by-7, and 8-by-10 prints, but none of those have the same aspect ratio, meaning all of them will crop my 2-by-3 images in a different way.
