my mother was my best friend. im only 22, she was a MAJOR part of my everyday life. we lived no more than 20 min from each other, & were always calling. one night i happened to be at her house, spending the night, & she took a bath & was having trouble getting dressed. i tried to help her & she collapsed in my arms. called an ambulance & went to the er. she was in the hospital for 4 days. she had 2 strokes, supposedly caused by an aneurysm, they did all the tests, & couldnt find it to seal up, & said it was too deep within her brain. it ended up clotting, they said it was a good thing. but her brain wouldnt stop swelling. no matter what they did. they did brain surgery to remove the clot in hopes it would relieve pressure, it didnt help. she had 1 more stroke, they ended up pronouncing her brain dead... she was my absolute everything in life. how do i deal with such a loss?? she was 43, and very healthy. this was soo unexpected. i dont think i can go on, i miss her soo much. HOW?

Ok, I'm 17 and I recently got rid of body hair in my arms & legs. I have been covering up for a few days now, wearing long sleeves and such but my mom is bound to see it one day or another. She is sorta strict and very religious, so I think she will probably freak out and think I'm gay! Whats a good excuse I can use? No jokesters please

Well, I haven't been seen her for 2 years now, the last time I saw her, her hair was in shoulder length, and she is Malay, honestly, she love to smile, but she never smile in photos and she never show her teeth either. Someday if I wanna fix a date to meet her, I will love to take photos and using camcorder to video her, do you think she will smile? cause I don't even know how to make girls smile, and her teeth is pearly white & straight, like she wore braces before. (she never wore braces)

We go to a private school in Switzerland. Anyway, my friend Jan (weird name, i know) was sticking out the finger at the tram and swearing loudly on the tram. He got suspended for it, however, he did not do it on the school grounds. Swiss kids act just as bad, they just don't speak english. when we speak english, everybody knows we're from the international school, and they don't like foreigners. anyway, because Jan was "giving the school a bad name" by acting kinda obnoxious, and he got suspended for 3 days. Is it fair to punish a student for something they did out of school? I don't think it is, nobody thinks it is, but does anybody know like, for sure, like, legally? cuz its really mean and its gonna affect his report card.

If you have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, and also have great difficulty sleeping ... do you think the meds cause more damage to your body, or do you think by not taking the meds to reduce anxiety and help your body sleep, that the stress would cause more harm to the body in the long run?

Does it make more sense to get a good night's sleep and feel healthy, rather than irritable and unable to concentrate?

Aside from the dangers of addiction to meds of course, what do you think is more healthy? With or without meds?

I put some puddles of ammonia on my laminate (fake wood) flooring. Where I put the puddle down it turned brown. Almost looks like I stripped it. What do I do? Can I put something over the brown to make it look better?
