What do you mean by missed? If she mated the only way to know for sure if it took is to get a ultrasound or a pregnancy test done at a vet or wait till d-day! Some pregnant females lose there appetites as their uterus crowds their stomach making them not want to eat to much but rather nibble here and there. Is her abdomen getting bigger , is she losing her waist? The blanket thing could be a sign of nesting, something pregnant bitches do before birth. IT could also be false pregnancy. You would have to go to the vet to be sure or just wait out the 9 wks. IF she is pregnant you will start seeing a big increase in her waist size in the next week. unless she is just having a really small litter like 2 or 3 pups . I have seen this before in boxers but it is rare. Good luck.

I used to be a Kennel Technician, so i've seen this many, many times with dogs. First and foremost i would highly reccommend a vet visit. In the meantime there are a few things you can do to try to get her to eat. The first thing is simple, try putting some warm water in with her food(if it's dry). Some dogs simply do not like the texture of dry food, and mixing in just enough to make it a bit mushy, might make it a bit more enticing by also bringing out the smell of the food. The next thing i would suggest is trying a dog vitamin supplement. The one i used to use was called "Nutristat". All you have to do is take a fingertip full of it, and then let the dog lick it off, or if all else fails hold her mouth open, and and put it in the roof of her mouth. Not only being a dietary supplement, the nutristat acts a bit as a doggie "pick-me-up" and may give her the feeling of wellness that she needs in order to eat something. My very last reccommendation that i have to give, and this should only be used as a last resort because it requires getting a bit more physical with your dog, is to take a small bit, or clump of food, and hold the dog down by putting her on your knee(or if she's a bit big for that keeping her on the floor), reach around her back with your arm, placing your hand underneath her jaw feel for the pressure points that meet at the hinges of the jaw, and physically push the food to the back of her throat. This may give her the energy that she needs to eat her food. Please do not take this as a final solution though, your dog may be in dire need of an emergency medical visit. I hope everything goes well with your puppy, and that she's eating again in no time:)

Boxers are, generally speaking, really good with kids and other dogs. I rescued a 3 1/2 year old female from a shelter that stayed in the kennel with a small dog and they were really close. The owners that had the dog before turning her over to the shelter said that the dog was extremely gentle with their children. The kids would pull on the dog's ear and tail, playing. The dog did nothing. She is supremely sweet and very gentle. P.S. One of the best things about Boxers is that they are clean freaks! They bathe themselves like cats. They like to be clean, so if you keep them indoors, your house will stay relatively clean. However, since they are short-hairs, they will shed. A lot.

try putting hambuger in the food or just the juice after it has been cooked. as far as dragging the towel around it could be a nesting thing i would put a bed in a quiet area and see what she does. how long ago was she checked by a vet to get a pregnancy test doen or x rays

I've had many dogs and every time they didn't want to eat, a high fever was involved (and there are millions of possible reasons for a high fever). In any case, you MUST take your dog to the vet.

***** needs to see her Vet. It could be so many things, but waiting is not a good idea. The towel probably comforts her, since she feels icky.
