In science a "theory" is an idea that is supported by factual information with the hope that one day enough facts will be gathered to move a theory into the realm of being considered a scientific fact. Further down the line from Fact to Theory is Hypothesis.

But the theory of evolution finds it's major support not from facts but from hypothetical interpretations of evidence. Scientists take the fact that natural selection causes variations within a species and "hypothesize" that this could lead to one species becoming a totally different species.

Scientists take the fact that radiation causes mutations and "hypothesize" that random mutations added vast amounts of useful information to the DNA structures of the ancestors of every plant and animal alive today.

Given these truths, should the theory of evolution be reclassified as a hypothesis?

unsolicited advice to me? The church invitations, the sneaky insults, the kind arguing, all because I don't share their religious convictions? Yesterday I spent 30 minutes arguing with a man at my retail job who insisted on reading scripture to me becauses I "have such a pretty smile" and " he could see that I have a "good soul". I would never insult anyone that way. How do I put a stop to this line of attack in a way that's not rude?

Ive been married for 3 years. My husband took off one night and went on a drug binge and I found on our credit card charges for prostitutes. I kicked him out went to a lawyer etc etc and he begged me for a second chance and I gave in. During the two months he was not at home I slept with an ex boyfriend one night. That same month I reconciled with my husband. Now I am pregnant and abortion is out of the question. It seems I conceived the night I reconciled with my husband but obvioulsy I cant be sure of that. It sucks I would have NEVER cheated on my husband had he not done this to begin with and now Im the bad guy. Im so depressed this is not where I saw myself at 35 years old!

For years I have wanted to do things which I never got done.
Right now I am in China, teaching. I came here with the hope
to get to know myself better here, but things are not working out.
I have a much smaller salary than I expected and cannot
even buy the things I need for my flat and so it is empty.

Some minutes ago, when taking a taxi I reacted stupidly, and am rather worried now (see quesiton on taxidrivers in Beiing)

I try not to judge, but they flaunt their sexuality constantly. Should we infuse our faith into local and national laws to prohibit unions between them? Or should we accept that they are human beings like us and deserve equal rights? I really need to know because it matters to know who God hates. Right?

my 2000 ford ranger suddenly is having power steering trouble.
when turning the wheel , not under motion, the movement of the tires is real jerky, it will actually shake the front end of the truck.
while driving down the road, it doesnt do that, but it still feels funky.
the front end is solid, new wheel bearings, and just had it aligned.
i am thinking the power steering pump is crapping out, even though there are no leaks. i dont see any air bubles in the fluid, and the level is correct. good tight serpentine belt, which is also new. it has got me stumped. like i said the front end is tight.
any ideas? i dont want to replace the pump, if that is not the problem, but i cant imagine what else it could be at this point.
must be some motor heads out there who can help.

Hi, I'm just trying to install a new head unit into my Clio (1998) to replace the original tape player that was in there. After connecting all the wires (using the harness adapter) and aerial... the system powers up and finds radio stations but has no sound coming out of the speakers??
