Take this situation:

A train is comng down the track to a turnout.

On one track are 10 people, on the other is 1 person.
All are innocent
The train is heading for the 10 people

Would you flick the switch and kill the one person to minimise the death, or would you let nature take its course.

What ever your answer, would changing the numbers make a difference - what if it was 2 people, 5, 100 ???

Also, would the type of person make you change your mind. If there were 10 kids on the track, and one homeless drunk, would you flick the switch ????

No "cheating answers" please - things like "i'd run across and flick the switch and push the one person out of the way"....

i want to add some subtitles for a movie because we are having a party and gonna watch a movie that i downloaded and a friend of mine is arabic and won't understand everything in the movie , so i go to the web , download the subtitles and open it in the software which adds subtitles to videos , and then all the arabic text appear like symbol(a with a dot over it , 5 attached to a c from below and stuff) , so just to make sure that the error isn't from the subtitle software , i downloaded an arabic text file and the same thing happened , do i need to download anything? if yes please tell me the accurate steps , thanks in advance

England was ranked by UNICEF to be the worst developed nation and USA is Second from the bottom. Netherland is the best and Scandinavia takes the next 3 top position for living condition for their children. I heard this on the BBC and was wandering if the US news covered it since I stopped listening to the domestic drivel due to bias. Why do you think we did so badly. UNICEF stated English speaking nations belief in freedom and independence is a factor. They also stated a lack of inequality and lack of access to social programs is a factor as well. They stated income was not a factor. Since I know some Yahoo will call me un-American. Lets also question is it liberals fault for their belief of freedom and their resistance to conservative desire to regulate behavior. Also is it conservatives fault for refusing to spend money on social programs. This is going to be a nice fight.

my relatives all live in the u.s.a. and are citizens and my 2 daughters, l6 and l7 are there to visit them, i wonder what visa can they get to let them stay a little longer or for them to be granted an extention of visit because they only got a 3month visit.

i have a boyfriend whom i love. and he's a got a girlfriend of his own. we're calssmates (i'm 17, he's 18) and the 1st time we met in class was when he sat beside me and he won't stop talking to me. my other friends say he likes me. i refuse to believe them coz i want us to remain friends and so that deeper feelings won't develop. now, we're closer. he shares his secrets with me & he always says i'm cute, he pinches my cheeks, he tickles me, he says i'm weird and he likes it. i mean, sheesh! i'm not mad or anything but i'm just wondering what he really feels. it's so confusing. everytime he texts me, he says, "have you eaten yet? you should eat by now." he seems so concerned and he always makes me laugh.

ok its like this iam a girl and 18 every since i was 13 i have always liked to look at breasts and in grade 7 i dreamed of women and cryed cause i missed the dreams i was sad one day cause i wanted a gf but it was probley more of i wanted to experment. now im 18 and iv had dreams of women a lot and i have cryed a while back cause guys dont have breast. i might have cryed a while back casue i wanted a girlfriend as will but i dont remeber any way at times i feel like i do want a girlfriend. i cryed one time a while back cause i felt like i liked women or that i might like women and i was afraid that if my uncle knew he woudnt like me any one . I even want to be bisexual insteed of straight. why did i have all those sad feelings? why have i felt at times that i wanted to have a girfriend? how do i accept that im straight? i know the last question is very weird but im serious about it im not joking please no mean complments not even ones about gramer .
