No, as long as he will use it!

Not celebrating in high class restaurants does not mean he is stingy or not appreciative of u. Some guys just do not see the need to spend on lavish dinners or on expensive presents. So try not to use expensive dinners as a yardstick to rate ur bf laa.

Well, ur bf may be one of those guys who show his love and appreciation for u in other simple ways e.g. does he take care of u when ur feeling sick, does he wait patiently for u after sch or work, does he drop u a msg now then then to see how ur doing etc. These little things may pale in comparison to big pricey items but it's the thought that counts right? It goes to show that he does think of u :)

Now that I have answered ur qn abt whether ur bf appreciates u, back to the other qn abt that topaz earring.

Erm, frankly speaking, if u ask me, whether he is loving towards u or not, spending 170 on an earring on a guy is quite crazy. The key word here is guy.

Sorry. Don't mean to dampen ur spirits. But I'd rather u spend it on urself. You can buy soooo many things with that amount of $ gerl ! Learn to pamper urself more, ya ;)

I guess it is if it doesn't make him happy. And no it isn't as long as it makes you happy which is most important. You spent this money on yourself to make yourself feel good. If it doesn't then it's stupid. It doesn't really matter if it makes him happy or not. A person is not a 100 dollar bill so everyone would value them.
People come and go you are either meant for each other or not.

Well now i can not tell you if it is stupid, if you wanted to, and you had the money, and you do not mind him not getting things like that for you, then no. So you see it is the way you see things, and think, not the way that the others that are answering this question may think, but what you think and feel about getting him that, and the way he still treats you.
