I haven't rec'd calls for interviews, after sending resumes in response to job ads. Should I consider calling my staffing agencies after a certain amount of time passes and let them know I'm available to work (temp)? I don't have much in the bank, and the bills keep piling in. If so, how much time? I was so fired up on New Year's, promising I would leave the unstable world of temping, and find a job which not only pays me steadily, but also provides benefits, possibly 401K and health coverage. I've tried, in the past, asking my agencies if they could submit me for any permanent positions their clients were looking to fill... but to no avail. Your input is welcome.
