My daughter is 4. I let her pick her own outfits at the stores we shop at and she picks out all boring brown and black clothes.At her preschool all the kids are wearing red, purple, and pink sparkley dresses when she comes with a ripped up jean skirt with black leggings and a tight black tank top. We live by a kids jewlery store called Claires and we recintly got her ear peirced. She picked plain black balls for her earing. I told her after we got her ears peirced she could get 10 things from the 99 cent rack and she picked a pair of black gloves, dark dark purple nail polish, a hair clip with green hair, silver belt [that she wears by her waist whithout putting it in belt hoops, and 6 silver bangles. She then said at the cash register "Here I'll cover it" She took out 10 dollers out of her lether wallet. She gave it to he women and said "Here ya go have a nice day" Oh my god what should I do she is turning into a goth child.

why does my wife turn advances for sex down. My Ex husband adopted my daughter when she was 3 she is now 42.Her adopted granfather died and said in his will that only his blood children and grandchildren wiil inherit his farm,can my daughter be left out of his will because she is not blood and can I take it to court does she have a case.

I didn't own slaves, my family never owned slaves. We didn't come here to the US till the early 20th century. So why, then, when I suggest that I not be held accountable for something that people who are dead did am I reprimanded for it? Why should I, or anyone else for that matter, be held accountable for something that hasn't existed in this country for a century and a half? What is so wrong with that?

I have been attending grad school in a new city for a couple of months. Sometimes I feel like socializing, but usually every other week I find myself wanting to be alone and not reaching out to others. I feel too emotionally tired to make the effort. Whenever I have tried to make friends, people usually don't seem that interested. When they do finally start reaching out, it's as if I've waited so long that I'm indifferent to them and I don't try to reach back. Yet sometimes I feel terribly lonely and wish I had a close friend. I vacillate between feeling satisfied with a solitary life and wishing my social life were better. Are these mood swings normal? How can I get myself to reach out when I don't feel like it?

After searching the net this morning and not finding what I'm looking for, decided to venture over here, see if there is someone who can give me a bonafide answer, not some trivial whoop-de-do answer.

As has been written elsewhere, two things in life are not deniable: Death and Taxes. While Death is true, Taxes is a bit vague, to a point. I'm looking for a listing of incidental taxes paid by anyone/everyone who purchases anything, uses anything, whatever. I'm already aware of income, property, telephone, etc. taxes, but do y'all know you also pay a tax to have your clothes professionally cleaned?

So, what say you? Can anyone give me a brief and to-the-point list of incidental taxes which are "hidden" in the daily goings on in life?

Oh, yeah, one other thing: I'm asking about US taxes, not foreign countries.

The Gas Men

Two gas company servicemen, a senior training supervisor and a young trainee were out checking meters in a suburban neighborhood. They parked their truck at the end of the alley and worked their way to the other end.

At the last house, a woman looking out her kitchen window watched the two men as they checked her gas meter.

Finishing the meter check, the senior supervisor challenged his younger coworker to a foot race down the alley and back to the truck to prove that an older guy could outrun a younger one.
As they came running up to the truck, they realized the lady from that last house was huffing and puffing right behind them. They stopped and asked her what was wrong.

Gasping for breath, she replied, "When I see two gas men running as hard as you two were, I figured I'd better run too!"
