"White Trash" means good for nothing white people that sit on their asses and expect the government and other people to give them free money so they can go buy beer. They didn't work hard in school and they try to live off other people. Usually, they never have tried to go to college not because of lack of opprunity but lack of caring. Men from this group are "trash" because they beat their wives or kids. "White trash" oftens uses foul language and some resort to stealing for a living. I'm not saying that anyone who lives in a trailer is "white trash" some people can not get out of that situation, but some people have had opprunities their whole lives and just expected other people to take care of them. Besides i'm white and I've been around a lot these people my whole life.

1. Listens to Country Western (not all, of course).
2. Lives in a trailer or a poorly kept apartment.

It is a racial derogatory phrase (not frase) towards white people. Kind of like the characters from King of the Hill.

poverty - trailer trash, redneck, hillbillie, thrift store shopper, 20 kids all different dads, possible drug user, hasnt graduated high school - possibly not even middle school, that kind of thing. Also from the midwest or south. The show My Name is Earl on NBC is taken from a white trash setting, with White Trash characters.
