This is my 2nd husband, 1st one passed away. My kids are 12 and 9. He will not help me out around the house. So I went on strike this weekend as far as he is concerned. Says he will only do his share and the kids need to start pulling their weight. What is his share? There's been a lot of publicity recently in the UK about how parents are spending more and more on their children's parties, and are having to keep up with the Joneses by laying on more extravagant events and supplying more expensive goody bags. Do you think this is true, and if so what's the cause of it, do kids really want lavish parties or is this just the parents trying to outdo each other, how much do parties cost you, how does it affect you and the parties you organise, and is there any way (or wish) to return to good old-fashioned parties that don't cost too much?

Like, what if I want to buy a new hard drive to install vista on? Is having an upgrade version of windows xp enough to install vista upgrade? Or do you have to have a full version?

Should I just spend the extra money and get the full version and not worry about it?

lately my bf is acting weirdly,,he asks me weird questions like"wat if i leave u", "wat if i ws going around with sum1 else", "if dere ws another gal wat wud u do" etc etc...

I ask this question once before. I will ask it again in another way.

I now know how to assemble my own computers, and I also know how to set up a small network, about 10 computers.

I also know how to use Ghost to copy Windows to all the computers in the network at one go.

I also know how to program and use the router, through not completely and mostly only Cisco routers.

Some of you suggested I started a carrier in IT Hardware, some suggested I be an administrator for network, others suggested I be a computer consultant or ursue a career in I.T.

The question I want to ask is, is what I know good enough for me to start a career in IT - perhaps in administration or hardware, or do I need to know more before I seek my career?

How much do I really need to know before I seek a career in IT?
