Can I force myself to enjoy the taste, texture or smell of a food I just *naturally* don't like?

Not until you proceed to verbally or physically harass me over my enjoyment of peanut butter.

Yes, you can force yourself to enjoy the taste, texture and even the smell of peanut butter because it is 100% delicious. At this very moment, I am having two scoops of chocolate peanut butter ice cream. It is so yummy that I am going to save some for tomorrow.

Oh dear. You are indeed a peanut-butter-phobe. You are not a peanut butter bigot. You can force yourself to enjoy the taste, texture or smell of a food you just naturally don't like. Does that help?

This is the funniest question ever that I have ever seen in my entire life about peanut butter but if for any reason you don't want to eat it then nobody is forcing you to do so. You only do it because you want to and not because you are obligated to do so.

I am here in Mexico City enjoying a peanut butter snack and boy oh boy is the snack filling me up very nicely!!!! Are you sure that you want some? I will leave you some in my freezer.

If you enjoyed my answer then please vote for me and give me some comments as well. All comments are well taken and well appreciated too.

yes you are a bigot, get out of here, you have no right to not like peanut butter, 10% of the poulation likes peanut butter and you are a peanutbutter phobe and a hater if you don't like it too, we will force you to like peanut butter or report you so you can't post on Yahoo answers. We will report you to the FBI for spreading your antipeanutbutter hate around here. so there!

Sounds to me like someone who comes to a section complaining about peanut butter is maybe in the cupboard about his love of peanut butter?

Nah, just kidding. Point taken.

Most bigots are people who have very little knowledge or base what they do know on opinion rather than direct experience - it seems like you have experienced Peanut butter and herefore have some sort of basis on which to form an opinion. Also I doubt you go around causing harm to jars of peanut butter or beating up shop keepers who stock it! Therefore you may have a phobia about it, but certainly not (in my eyes) a bigotry about it!

No, this is where people get confused. It is ok to dislike peanut butter, but it is not ok to get rid of all peanut butter just because you do not like it.

I dislike alot of evangelical and fundamentalist religious people, but I do not try to ban them nor do I dislike all of them just because some are bigots. I let each of them open their mouth and prove themselves one way or the other before I make my decision.

Nobody would try and force you to eat peanut butter. Just don't verbally abuse those who DO like it.

Nah, you're just not a peanut butter person. How do you feel about jelly?
