My mother is trying to tell me that body piercing and tattoos is a sin, according to the bible. I asked a friend about this (a christian friend, very strong in his faith) and he told me that my mother was wrong, that what she was referring to was a bible verse taken out of context.

Are piercings and tattoos considered a sin? If so , what verse in the bible states this?

I bought some net curtain froma shop that sold it by the metre, it is now fraying down the sides. I have trimmed it but it is still fraying. Any suggestions? (I am rubbish at sewing by the way).

that parents don`t have a say( or don`t need to be contacted ) in the fact they can go to their doctor and get the pill (oral contraceptive, purely for sex not problems with periods etc) . I know theres going to be alot of mixed responses here but under 16 yrs they are still little girls . My 16yr old has told me she has just been for the pill and i am gutted , i don`t want her to be sexually active yet , and at the same time i do not want a grandchild . I suppose she is being careful but i am finding this hard to deal with .. What are your views ?

I love Captain Morgan rum its my favorite rum but depending on the week my store sometimes marks up the jugs and its so expensive I have to buy something else instead.I have tried other cheaper brands but they just ain't that Captain.So far I have tried Tortuga which was ok but a bit heavy and some really awful stuff called Admiral something or other that was just pure swill.Anyways anybody have any other brands that they think are decent I should check out?

A good looking man walked into an agent's office in Hollywood
and said "I want to be a movie star." Tall, handsome and with
experience on Broadway, he had the right credentials.
The agent asked,
"What's your name?"
The guy said, "My name is Penis van Lesbian."
The agent said, "Sir, I hate to tell you, but in order to get into

said and he left the agent's office.

FIVE YEARS LATER..... The agent opens an envelope sent to his
office. Inside the envelope is a letter and a check for $50,000. The
agent is awe-struck, who would possibly send him $50,000? He reads the
letter enclosed...

Dear Sir,
Five years ago, I came into your office wanting to
become an actor in Hollywood, you told me I needed to change my
name. Determined to make it with my God-given birth name, I
refused. You told me I would never make it in Hollywood with a name like
Penis van Lesbian. After I left your office, I thought about what you
said. I decided you were right. I had to change my name. I had too
much pride to return to your office, so I signed with another agent. I
would never have made it without changing my name, so the enclosed
check is a token of my appreciation.

Mine is a song from an Australian actor Belinda Emmett who passed away from cancer On November 11, 2006,at 32 yrs old, just after dawn. She was married to Rove McManus an Australian variety show host and comedian.
Belinda wrote a song " less than perfect and I would love to share it with u. It's my fav song because she wrote it about her struggle with cancer. Here's the link;

This question is about my husband. He is the one with the close friendship. He emails her 5 and 6 times a day and talks to her on the phone atleast 2 or 3 times a week. He invites her to his jam sessions. He invites me to but I just don't see it as normal to invite her. She is going through a divorce and she found him on myspace. She is his ex-girlfriend from high school not serious girlfriend though. He did not prosue the friendship and thought it was getting wierd until she said she didn't mean anything by it. He than believed her. I just don't see it as ok to have a close friend that you talk to that much through email and phone and oh instant messagner too. It was getting in the way of alot of things. He was being secretive it seemed even if he didn't mean to be. HELP

I want to upgrade my socket 939 AMD 3000+ chip. I've found an AMD 3500 Venice at £60 http://www.aria.co.uk/#/Products/Components/CPUs+%2F+Processors/AMD/Athlon+64+Socket+939/AMD+Athlon64+3500+Venice+Retail?productId=18149 and a 3700+ http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=318311 at £45. They both run at 2.2 GHz, so I'm puzzled by the difference in the price.. I'm tempted to go for the cheaper 3700 as it also has twice the cache memory. Or am I missing something?
